To get hormones from a pharmacy you need a prescription. If you want to go the self med route you can order online.

I'd strongly recommend that you have a plan for getting on a prescription at some point in the future if you're going to self med, having your levels monitored makes sure you're getting enough hormones.

Many of the best guns in the game- the Alien Blaster, Artifact Gun, Deliverer, and Kellogg's Pistol- are pistols. I mean, if you want to drop your points into something other than Melee and don't have the hand-eye coordination to make a pistol work at medium to long range, go for Big Guns, but otherwise, I really think pistols are the best class of weapon overall in the game.

Actually, here's the special thing about steroids- they act intracellularly by binding to DNA directly rather than by triggering receptors extracellularly.
