Hey man I was exactly the same. I used to be fat but instead of losing weight slowly and sensibly, I just went full-anorexic and basically didnt eat for days at a time.

As a result when I started out lifting I could only bench the empty bar, squat 40kg and deadlift 40kg. Now, 5-6 months later I've made a lot of progress and am up to "Novice"-tier lifts. its kinda sucks, but the sooner you get started the sooner you'll reverse your poor circumstances.
