DHT blockers block dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that is both produced and has it's effects inhibited by excess testosterone. DHT causes male pattern baldness as it effects hair follicles. DHT lingers in the blood a bit, so fucking around with testosterone levels can cause spikes in DHT and without as much testosterone to inhibit it, your hair can start falling out- this happens to a lot of people when they start HRT. Don't worry, once that DHT is gone, it grows back. Or you could have DHT anyway as 'insurance'. blockers like finasteride and dutasteride are mainly used to combat male pattern baldness- many of us have some stage of it if we're 17+. DHT blockers make guys sterile and have limits on how long you can take them and how much you can take- as a tranny you don't have to worry about that so much- yay!

Biotin is a vitamin supplement, it's a B vitamin. It aids hair and nail growth (including facial and body hair), take biotin, drink lots of water, grow long hair fast. It makes it strong and healthy too. Make sure you epilate a lot, and are having laser/electro otherwise you're gonna be shaving more.

you can do your brows with tweezers but go to a salon first- you have to get used to these places. if you want laser, or electrolysis, you might need to go to a salon. you don't want to rely on friends cutting your hair. get a professional to do your brows once a month, but keep them neat and tidy with tweezers in between appointments, that's what i do. mid 20s isn't that bad, trans kids and teens do upset me a bit because i was too chickenshit to do anything about it because i felt like too much of a freak. transition was my last option as an adult. but don't worry. so long as you're under 30, you'll probably turn out passable. it'll be hard work, painful and expensive, and more so than if you were younger. you're already looking at facial surgery and that's pricey. go to a therapist already. transition at 26 is better than 46.

I never really acted on transitioning because I was told I was handsome fairly often; I felt that I lucked out a little bit by not being an ugly dude. I wasn't sure if I could forgive myself for trading supposedly handsome features for potentially ugly ones.
The longer I wait though the more anxious I get about time slipping away and going past a point where I'm stuck.
I'm working on re-establishing my medical insurance and finding a therapist to talk to.
