Butch lesbos and old gay dudes are the best tippers and customers in general. Most likely to buy a round for the house at closing time and make the least fuss.

Mtfs are the shittiest tippers and most likely to run out on the tab. Femme gay dudes are the worst customers in that they're the most demanding/rude and don't know their limits.

My place tends to cater to gay dudes though we have nights meant to attract lesbians and trans. It's also expensive, or one the more expensive gay bars, but then it's also the cleanest and nicest imo. We get a lot of regular gay folks that come by during the week just to chill and sip coffee and read and have brunch. Have fantasy sport events and billiards tournaments.


To mtf OP, I'd say ask for a chocolate pretzel. It's a pretty common drink most bars will have (unless it's a beer only bar) and I've never met anyone that hates a chocolate pretzel. Not super strong, kinda martini like, tasty without being too sweet.

If I'm ordering a mixed drink I'll usually just get a Long Island because it amazes me every single time how they put together that many liquors and have it taste good. Other things I like incl. beer (usually like a brown or red ale, I went through an IPA hipster phase but I'm kinda over it now), dry white wine, and tequila shots with salt and lime.
