Sorry for not posting a description I'm lazy as fuck

Octopuspie is a comic that started in 2007. It follows Eve Ning and her old-friend now roommate Hannah (I forget her last name), through adulthood, life, love, loss and general finding themselves-ness.
It only just recently started to showcase lgbtq themes with the characters Jane and Mar. So if you're only here for that then get reading cause there's a lot of story between the beginning and that.
Being a comic that started in 2007, the art has improved a shit ton since the beginning, and the characters make and lose a lot of friends along the way.
The writing is humorous, self-aware, and isn't afraid to make the world a little goofy just for the fuck of it

How so? It looks like a western cartoon style to me. The author does jobs for Boom! Studios. Actually, that was one of the reasons Sakana used to have an awful update schedule. Anything that has western cartoon elements doesn't automatically make it Tumblr tier.

Yes, Tumblr enjoys the cartoons featured in Boom! Studios comics. However, those does not automatically mean the style is Tumblr tier by default.

If you truly want a published comic that falls into the Tumblr category, check out that Squirrel Girl side comic. Pretty much all comic goers detest its lazy blob people. Sunstone is not a "lesbian fetish" story, it's actually really well thought out and well written story that on its surface people might dismiss or categorize as "sex with hot lesbians" which is what Top Cow was banking on when they picked it up. Alright so Julian's the faggot with white and brown hair and Hendrix is the blonde dude. All through highschool Hendrix and his friends have bullied Julian for being gay and no guys at school would be friends with Julian cause apparently all the guys in the school are homophobes. After having gotten into a fight in gym class, Julian and Hendrix were forced to clean up the sport equipment room, but then the door locked and there was nobody in the gym so they couldn't leave. They're both still in the equipment room at this point. After getting locked in, Julian and Hendrix started arguing then Hendrix kissed Julian and admitted he likes Julian then gave Julian a blowjob and now they're figuring out what to do with each other now that this all happened. I think they're gonna keep it a secret for a while, I don't fuckin know.

I think the point is that it's not exactly a comic, it's an hybrid between comic and book. It's extremely tiresome to illustrate dialogues, at the same time it's terrible to narrate certain actions, that's why I'm thinking about doing something in a similar fashion.

I actually like this format a whole lot better. It's like getting episodes of the story and not a weekly update that only gets me like four lines of dialogue. Although the update time is a bit longer, I feel I'm getting more in one lump sum. Thus, I feel more satisfied with update's conclusion and less like I'm begging for more.
