All those are extremely dangerous jobs. I'd probably shit myself at the thought that at any moment I could get ambush and killed.

I enlisted in the airforce a month ago, starting student flight at the moment. Probably wont operate like some kind of badass. But i'm excited to get a job where I will get to maintain/operate m249/m240s.
Question, what's the opinion on specialized but non-military units?
Police Swat? DEA FAST? BATFE SRT?
Do we consider any of these 'operator'?

Narcos is the most violent and the one where you actually will be able to move up the ladder by being as savage and ruthless as you can be.

What are we thinking? FAST>SWAT>SRT?

do you mean actual dreams when you sleep or hoping to do it in reality
whenever I have dreams about operating it never makes sense, either the bullets do no damage or I find a bunch of non matching ammo and mags and gun or stuff turn into a pile of candy in shiny wrappers the next time I look at them.

Swat aren't operators. They are nerds. They don't get the missions, funding, trigger time or standards as SOF, much less the color groups.

That's where the question comes in. Is there what you'd call non-military operators, and where do you draw the line? The shit FAST does in Afghanistan seems like it would qualify for instance.
