Getting ready to drop 8k on a 338 plus scope with my salmon money. peobably going to go hog hunting after I've ran 20 rounds through it.
>>
>>35170272
oh I've taken it to the range a few times already. it's so awesome, although I'm having a hard time affording ammo after blowing $1400 on it. oh well, I'll save up slowly.
>>
>>35170325
what's hog hunting like? never hunted befoh. also, 338 lapua? will they explode?
>>
>>35170325

Saw Dianne Feinstein technically yesterday, didn't throw anything at her so I guess that's a good measure of restraint.
Helped make sure some vets got attention from my boss.
Helped make sure an NDAA amendment got handed over.
Met a half dozen foreign dignitaries.
Got a shit ton of free booze and now I can jack it while missing my guns back home.
DC has so many pluses but I just miss my guns.
>>
There's a difference between making your own idiot marks and someone else scratching your firearms.

I let out a loud FUCK when I pressed my slide release back into my MK23 and I put a ding on the manufacture year code's letter B's lower left corner.
>>
>>35170262
Every gun in my collection is well used
>>
It's a battle rifle. It doesn't have to look good. In fact, whenever I see a military rifle that looks it's in pristine condition I can't help but feel like it's unnatural or something. Like a rifle that fought in one or several major conflicts, no matter if it's a Mosin or a K98 or an Arisaka or a Lee-Enfield or any shouldn't look perfect. It should be well maintained of course, but a few bumps and chips feel natural. It's a gun and you shoot it and it goes boom and it's a naturally destructive process on the gun's internals, so why try to mask it with a meticulously perfectly kept outer visage? Make it look like it's well kept but used, and not like it does nothing but hang over your fireplace.
>>
I'm losing interest in guns. I've sold my collection, only gun I kept was my glock and that's just for protection and cc.

I've been losing interest in a lot of things I used to like and I can't gain interest in anything.
>>
>>35170589
Depression, anon. Pretty sure you have it. Talk to someone
>>
>>35170262
Serves you right.
>>
>>35170380
Yea, thought about doing pot cod but it looks like 100percent of those boats are drugged out degenerate scum. Good money though. You?
>>
>>35170262
i know that feel, it almost ruins the whole gun for me if theres a minor ding or whatever on one of my guns.

Stop smoking weed and jerking off.

it creates personality, don't sweat it.
>>

I don't smoke weed or take any drugs or drink. I also don't jerk off except if my wife is away for a extended period of time.

Been trying to get back into running shape, finally got to 5 k level despite constant backsliding from shin splints that made things take a few months longer than the should have. I can run 30 minutes but I have yet to meet the goal of running 30 minutes for a full week (mon wed fri) due to the shins. So I'm worried about falling off the wagon again.

But today, I was running across the sidewalk and I hurt something in my knee that shot pain up into my leg. So I'll probably be fucked running tomowow. It's already been a week since my last run. I just want to get back in shape /k/ is that too much to ask?
>>
>>35170986
drink bone broth
your cartilage is fucked
>>
>>35170985
hey calibro, ready for 2018? will these shitty laws get reversed ever?
>>
>>35170986
To be clear I wasn't on a run today, I was simply trying to make it across before traffic came; I 'ran' at most only 20 feet ;_;
>>
>>35171004
I'm getting into reloading and buying as much ammo as I can online before the new year. The state can get fucked.
>>
>>35171002
Bone broth? Why is my car tiled get bad? I'm 25. Father did cross crountry and I'm not fat. Overweight now, but had similar problems in high school when I was lean
>>
>>35170262
i remember when my brand new USP got caught on my jacket and dropped onto the cement floor, got a nice little chew mark. i sanded it off and bought a better holster. it bites big time, but remember this is a tool. It's a weapon. It will get dings and dents.

Keep it operational and shoot the barrel out of the damn thing.
>>
>>35171040
It has nothing to do with weight. Bone broth is good for your joints, it's important as a runner.
>>
>>35171040
Cheese burgers in paradise
>>
>>35170419
I stay in Alexandria when I have to do business in DC. It's a really cool place but not having any guns really sucks.
>>
>>35171054
>>35171040
Ok correction (more weight wears out cartilage faster), it does has something to do with weight, but that's not why I brought it up.
Also stretch in your free time , but don't hyperextend.
>>
>>35170262
I got the green fiberglass stock and kind of had regrets because the wood does look so much better. But now seeing your pic - I'm fine with mine.
>>
>>35171040
You're probably striking with your heel. Rrally bad form. Puts lots of stress on your knees and shins.

Instead land on front part of foot.
>>
>>35170589
no joke see a doctor, you might have depression or low t. i'm worried about you and i'm here for you.
>>
>>35170985
you can buy handguns in California
try going to a gun store and not just Big5
>>
>>35170986
since when did this turn into a woe is me running thread
>>
>>35171072
That's the weird thing. I just started a regimen of stretching when I wake up and before sleep but it seems to make things worse somehow. I currently do not have access to a gym and only recently gained access to a running track (been running on concrete in the ghetto). That should improve the shins, but I have weak ankles and right leg is longer than left by nearly an inch. And without the gym I cannot lift, though in wondering if squats/deadlifts would greatly improve my running problems

>land on front
Like when sprinting? I though you were supposed to roll from heel to toe so you don't put shock into your legs
>>
>>35171040
bone broth has nutrients which support the growth of connective tissue, re-mineralize teeth, and more. it's good for runners especially
>>
>>35171056
Don't get it
>>
>>35171114
I can't buy handguns from some shmuck from out of state if it's off-roster and everything I want is off-roster.
>>
>>35171158
Yes like that. I noticed my knee pain from running went away when I started forefoot striking. Basically press down, push off, lift up and behind.
>>
>>35171130
Are you wearing corrective shoes?
>>
>>35171207
It's a song.
>>
>>35171258
But what does it have to do with the post it replied to
>>
Bought a Daewoo k5 and ran about 250 rounds through it. I'm pretty happy.
>>
>>35171158
It's the reverse. If you land on your heel, your foot tendons and calf muscles can't absorb any of the impact and it all goes straight up your leg to your spine. Of course, if you don't have a lot of calf muscle you're liable to injury, so take it easy at first.
>>
I don't know how to proceed in transferring from one school to another.
Also, I got a new swiss army knife.
>>
>>35171309
>>35171230
We'll that changed everything... I've always heard people shout "heel toe heel toe" wtf.

>>35171178
I will try this lord knows I need to eat healthier anyway. Ems creates some very unhealthy habits

>>35171236
I was wearing beat to shit 5 year old running shoes but I just got a pair of asics with heavy cushioning. If you mean for the leg discrepancy? Then no. Undiagnosed. I never saw a dr because I didn't want a nail in the coffin for military service
>>
>>35170348
Yes
>>
>>35170262
My dad just gave me a Mossberg and Sons Model 380 .22lr because I said I was interested in plinking around, so I'm doing pretty great!

It loads from the butt, isn't that weird? I like it though, it was my uncles before me and he took really good care of it, as will I.
>>
>>35170380
Smoked salmon, he works in a deli.

Same here.

Like if she goes to her parents for the weekend....or to get the shopping or a haircut or is outside hanging the washing or she is at the other end of the house and I can hear she is watching Outlander...
>>
>>35170262
Just dropped the cash for an M1A Scout myself.

Now I just need to start investing into some magazines, but I'm entrenched deep within Commiefornia.
>>
I just bought a WWI all matching C96 for $910. Gonna give it a good cleaning and then bring it to the range.
>>
>>35171674
Lol yeah, I guess /k/ wouldn't be right at home with a loading system like that
