I'm not replying to the bait posters, but if anyone's legitimatly curious about why the Glock explosion meme is a thing, it's actually pretty simple: Glocks use polygonal rifling. Normally this isn't a problem, but if you fire a lot of unjacketed lead bullets through a polygonal rifled barrel you can get a build up of lead that will cause the barrel to be obstructed. With a very high pressure round like .40, this can cause the barrel to rupture. People didn't initially know this, and Glock didn't bother to tell anyone because they didn't expect anyone to be shooting unjacketed lead bullets out of them. However, some people were hand-loading their own practice ammunition, and cheaped out by going with cast, unjacketed lead bullets. This, combined with sloppy, overpowered powder charges, led to some explosions. This is one reason why the Gen 5 Glocks have a traditional rifled barrel instead of polygonal rifling.

tl;dr: just don't shoot unjacketed lead handloads and you'll never need to worry about a Glock blowing up.

Glock 20 won't blow up. The problem is ammo, most people run memes shit like underwood, double tap, or Buffalo bore. These ammo manufacturers do not have the same QC standards of ATK or even (lol) hornady, double charges, bullets seated too deeply, etc. If you want a factory loaded warm 10mm bullet for self defense or small bears the federal trophy bonded bear claw is the only way to go. 1275 ft ilbs of muzzle velocity, 180 grains. You can shoot 10mm practice ammo but it's going to be mildly warmer than 40, it's better just to reload.
