Weekend before last I was at an indoor range zeroing in my new AR and the guy at the lane next to me was shooting quite a lot of .308 and it didn't throw me off. Had this last weekend when I went to my indoor range. Two college guys trying to impress some girl with a rented AR (range rents guns and sells ammo at insanely high prices and people eat it up).
Kept magdumping at 20 yards, not entirely on paper, and (of course) put a couple of holes in my target one lane over. RSO who's usually a chill mofo actually came in and watched them like a hawk, kept having to caution them about not taking a hot weapon off the line and handing it to each other.
I don't mind the noise so much as the fact that it's often some noguns jackass that barely knows how to flip the safety off pumping out rounds as fast as he can because he's trying to look cool.
