Well, it means smaller adjustments in aim become more visible so if you've got the coordination you'll generally shoot more accurately. Personally I think you should look for a smaller aperture and put the handle back where it should be. Or you could do

the distance between the beginning of the sight and the end of the stock is literally the same. If you pull it out and move the sight equally back you get the exact same distance

For real though, sight is designed to have correct sight picture at rear with small aperture. Large aperture is for night/cqc.

If feel yours is not right either your understanding of correct sight picture is wrong or you have a bad carry handle sight (toy, prop, Chinese knockoff, airsoft, manufacturer defect, etc).
