I might pick up a VP9SK LE for carry instead. I'm amazed just how cheap it is, it's close to Glock pricing. I'm sure it's higher quality and it does have features that the Glock doesn't but it's also slightly bigger, has a higher bore axis and a heavier slide.

What that means is that I have no issue with safeties as long as I don't have to deliberately engage or disengage them. I want to be able to draw the pistol and shoot. Internal passive safeties or even things like grip safeties or trigger shoe safeties are fine by me because they are passive, they operate without my having to think about them.
