If the regular USP45 shoots as soft as my USP45T, it'll be incredibly soft shooting. Feels as soft or softer than my P229 in 9mm.

I shoot a .45 usp. The dual recoil spring really tames the recoil. It is mild and a soft shooter.

I'll be picking up my USP45 in about two days or so. It's going to be $550 all together with two mags and as a trade in.

The only thing that worries me is getting a holster for it and actually affording .45ACP.

Since this is a USP thread, can someone help me?

I am trying to decide whether to get a full size or a compact model. I won't be concealed carrying for another two years and it's going to go to the range three or for times a month. Is the compact any less fun to shoot than the full size? 9mm by the way.

Get fullsized. I carry a fullsized USP and I tried my buddies compact USP in my holster and the difference was extremely minimal. If you look at side by side comparisons of the full size and compact there's hardly any size difference. USP compact is hardly "compact". Get the full size.

I'll probably get flamed for this but I prefer the HK45 for a few reasons. 1. it's still in production and the aftermarket is growing rather than shrinking. 2. No proprietary rail so mount whatever light you fancy (or don't but at least you have a choice that doesn't involve an adapter) 3. The Batman grip is ergonomic as fuck and makes shooting it a sexually stimulating experience. 4. It has front slide serations from the factory if that matters to you. Other than that, they're in the same boat I believe but those are the reasons I chose the HK45 over the USP
