Just fucking broke my Mosin
>>35142660
Cool. Buy another.
Good, still a few millions to go.
>>35142670
why would someone buy pieces of shit repeatedly
>>35142670
Reeeeeeeeeeee the "stronk" and "reliable" memes lied to me.
You shouldn't have been mosin around with it.
>>35142773
This is nagant a laughing matter
>>35142773
Top /bant/s.
>>35142676
lol I have 3. Bought one, my cool uncle said oh you like mosins? Have two more! One was a PU, the other a Westinghouse. He needed the space in his safe, and they weren't needed in his very complete mosin collection.
But really how tf did OP break his mosin? It's a shit gun but all my experiences back up the >>35142702
Stronk meme.
>>35142660
Care to explain what you did to fuck up so badly?
>>35142824
Pushed the bolt back into the gun, after cleaning
>>35142660
Nyet comrade, rifel is fine.
weld parts with cosmoline
Gunsmith here. I'll buy it from you.
>>35142832
Mmmm unless you slammed it in with a hammer I don't see how you could have done with unless the gun was already damaged, what variant?
>>35142924
91/30. I just pushed it in like I normally do, and the cocking piece dropped when I closed the bolt
>>35142931
Who made it?
>>35142955
Izhevsk 1939
>>35142963
How long have you owned it
>>35142966
About a year
after the trigger spring broke for the 3rd time on my pu I just got a timney. do the same. u won't regret it
>>35142660
Can /k/ stop shilling the garbage rod now?
>>35144896
Shut your whore mouth.
>>35144918
>>35144929
For 200 dollars and below it's an okay gun. For more than that, you might as well get a yugo Mauser, as they outclass the Mosin in every aspect, except for ammo affordability. Other than historical value, and ammo availability, there's no reason to buy a 91/30 anymore
>>35142660
What even broke?
>>35142660
Here you go, Anon. Find the part and replace it.

>there's no reason to buy a 91/30 anymore
What if I like the smell of metal and cosmoline?
>>35142660
And nothing of value was lost
One day /k/ will realize the reason Mosins became a meme was because they were $59.99 at J&G Sales in the early 2000s.
They became so much of a meme that now my local shops are selling them for $275-375. Yugo Mausers at the same shops are $200 in cosmetically worse condition.
What I'm really kicking myself over it missing an Eddystone 1917 for $450 recently. I've wanted one since before it came out as endorsed by Gun Jesus.
>>35145122
Convert Nagant to a new ammo. have fun all over again..45-70 nagant.
>>35142660
either replace the part, or have a gunsmith, or yourself, weld it, then file it back into shape.
Good. Buy a Kar or an Arisaka.
>>35145483
>He doesn't have a .50 BMG Nugget
>>35145483
Is there enough material on the barrel to have it bored out to .458 caliber? Safely?
Also would that feed in the magazine at all?
>>35144896
>still butthurt you lost your job at TFB

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2011/05/25/converting-a-mosin-nagant-to-45-70/
Is this a decent replacement part? it's new production
>>35145355
Yugo m48s have both of those
>>35147172
Don't need to be Alex to recognize that the Nugget is really only 'good' when you can get it for a steal like in 2008
There's plenty of commercial bolt-action rifles available in it's current price range. It's not worthless, but it's basically Carcano tier; it did the basic things required of it for it's time (in the Carcano's case, if your source of ammunition wasn't Italian).
It's ok to like a weapon while admitting to it's mediocrity or flaws. The Tec-9 is generally a fucking piece of shit in most of it's iterations but I can't say there isn't an appeal in it for me.
>>35147176
Fascinating.
Makes sense for a Russian who wants a boar gun.
>>35143047
>buying a trigger worth more than the rifle
why tho
>>35142660
The real meme here is that you own one of those pieces of shit
>>35147302
No, but you do need to be Alex to spout your unoriginal and unfunny garbage rod meme at virtually every conceivable opportunity simply to point out the obvious and uncontested fact that the mosin isn't a particularly good gun
