Never been to Wareham, so I couldn't compare.

Rural RI, is pretty unimpressive. There's trees, but no mountains and streams, like NH and Vermont. A few lakes around, but nothing to write home about. I don't hunt, so I can't give you any info on that.

Rural areas are definitely way more gun friendly. If you're outside the city and have enough land, you can shoot on your property. I know a guy in Burrilville who shoots in the woods out of his back door.
