I'm building up a uzi from a parts kit and was wondering if /k has any advice or tips? Im using a 80% repair kit and can mig/tig well. My main concern is lining everything up... Share me some uzi knowledge and smgs...
There's already another thread; read the catalog first.

And here is what I posted:
Here is a parts list. I know that some of these are "sold out". This is just to show you what you might need. The McKay bolt/firing pin assembly have been sold out for a long time and I bought mine off Gunbroker for just $250 together. Look around everywhere, there are many websites that carry them. This is just a list and links so you can see what you'll want.
>McKay SA receiver; $239.00

***IF YOU ARE GOOD AT WELDING; BUY THIS INSTEAD FOR $99. You will have to only weld in the bolt blocking bar and the trunion, it's very easy to do: http://www.mckay-ent.com/uzi/uzi-semi-auto-receiver-shell.html**
>McKay Bolt/Firing Pin $279 but can be found for $150-200; look around
This is the hardest part to find and typically the most expensive. You can find it WAY cheaper on other websites and on Gunbroker/Armslist like I did (I got the receiver/bolt for $250 and just had to buy the parts kit, barrel, Allumahyde II, etc etc etc).

>McKay 16" barrel - $109
http://www.mckay-ent.com/uzi/uzi-16-barrel.html
These are great; if you want a fancy chrome lined one, Green Mountain has them for $150. You can also have the regular 10 inch barrel, but you wont get to use the cool wood or folding stock since anything with a barrel that short + a stock is an SBR.
>Uzi Parts kit - $179 regular but $100-120 on sale

Wood stock

ONLY buy these on sale. I swear, they're on sale once a month.
That's it. You can buy a sling, extra mags, etc with Google.

VIDEOS
>MadMetalManiac74's Uzi Build
This guy is hilarious and has a great series. COULD go in depth a little more but it's the best set of videos I've found for visualizing what you have to do.

This video by him is absolutely vital for learning to assemble your trigger group for the first time and seeing how to tack weld your grip stick:

I didn't use this one much but it's good. I used his written guide a whole lot more:
http://theredneckengineer.blogspot.com/search/label/Uzi
And finally, here's the guide I used the most:
https://crypticpunk.wordpress.com/building-the-fully-legal-semi-automatic-uzi-carbine/
Give it a browse, it'll show you what you'll be doing.
Feel free to ask more questions. In the future if you go through with this build, ask your questions in the Gun Building/Gunsmithing thread. I always check those to help people with their Uzi's; call me "Uzibro".
I don't trip though, I'm not faggot.
I posted a lot more information as well as well as answered questions. If you have any more questions, ask me in either thread.

Don't buy the faggot semi auto parts and 16" barrel. The first ruins the function and reliability and the second ruins the aesthetic.
Protip: just because you have a gun doesn't mean you need to post pictures everywhere and tell everyone about it.

Go take a Midol and finish your cup of coffee, bud.
Maybe talk to OP about a build you *do* recommend for fun.
I'll leave you be.

If you can't take it to 2gun it's worthless.
