It has to be in 300 BLK, the 5.56 barrel would be completely useless.

That being said, it looks very interesting but I'm not sure if it would be more practical than the LVAW MCX (6.75" barrel).

300 BLK is a completely different animal and works very well down to like 7,5", maybe even lower but I haven't tested or seen that.

I thought it achieved maximum velocity out of a 9" barrel, and 5.56 does the same out of a 20" barrel, so that's why the 300 blk works so well for shorter lengths. Sig runs it out of a 6" barrel with their MCX for example. I think that's a bit extreme but it seems to work fine.
