Is it bad to leave 30 rd PMags loaded? I heard that it could damage the lips. OK to leave 30 in there? Right now I have about 12 or so in

I keep 28 in mine. Never an issue
>>35128931
Its an AR you'll be fine
Me on the other hand got an AK that came with a basic bitch MOE mag. Wtf were they thinking? That mag needs metal for its catch.

i keep mine full and ready.
why store ammo in paper boxes when i've a shitload of magazines to store the ammo in?
protip: magazines were designed to hold ammunition
>>35128931
It's not a bad idea to leave a couple out. Probably not going to cause an issue though, it's more a question of which option triggers your autismal paranoia the most.
There's no compelling reason to not load 30 in them. If you're that paranoid about the feed lips, use the dust covers that came with gen3 pmags or buy some for the gen2 pmags. Those will keep the pressure off the feed lips.

In the Marines we loaded 28. It's a feeding issue. Of course they were GI mags.
I currently own a m4. I still load 28. I'm just set in my ways.
>>35128931
I leave ~15 loaded at all times, no issues here. I even have some shitty GI mags I keep loaded and they're fine too.
>>35128931
This is such a fucking pants on head retarded meme if there has ever been one.
I have always loaded 30 rounds in 30 round magazines and left them loaded and have never had a single failure of any sort.
>>35128931
You actually have to keep them loaded with 15 rounds to avoid damaging the spring because they're double stack mags. The follower can experience bidirectional tension if you leave it loaded with 30 rounds.

I hate you.
Everyone got their cars up on jacks for the night to take that static tension off their suspension?
>>35128987
AR's are so shit you can load them to 30 rounds because they dont work.

lgop here
i hear ya on 28 man
>>35128931
No, it's not. Magpul has written articles about this. They and other companies select plastics that don't creep over time. This might have been an issue in early gen plastic mags, but not in the present.
Its a meme you dip. Even THERMOLD mags fire all rounds after being loaded for 10 years.
