Noun[edit]
ponce (plural ponces)
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ponce
(Britain, slang) A man employed by a prostitute to find clients, and who may also act as a bodyguard and driver. A ponce is different from a pimp in being the prostitute's employee, not the employer.
(Britain, Ireland, pejorative) A posh or effeminate person.

Dude what? Aster-30 and Patriots are in the same niche as S-125, Buk-M3 and other mid range SAM systems. S-200 has 300 fucking km range, it's a genuine strategic air defence system. Of course it's less than satisfactory nowadays, but first, upgrades exist, and second, the only alternatives to this role are S-300 family, THAAD and SM-2/6. Besides, didn't Ukraine de-facto decommissioned them like 5 years ago or whatever? You should have at least some amount of S-300 systems that haven't turned into piles of rust remaining anyway.

Except for that, its missiles are Mach 7+. The only issue I see here is obsolete avionics, but then again it's a thing that is relatively easy to upgrade. Then there's also the fact that Ukraine is unlikely to find itself in the middle of a global or regional military conflict between major countries that operate something beyond the level of R-17 capabilities.
S-200 capabilities and upgrade potential are stupidly impressive, imo.

Dude, that's the point. Absolute overkill philosophy is the child of a war that will never be. Nowadays everyone understands that the more current threat comes from bare-footed radicalised towelheads, not from literal clash of civilisations in a global thermonuclear war.
Naturally, my dick still gets hard about stuff like Kirov-class modernisation, because I have balls and basically fuck yeah firepower. I mean I still hope we'll get to see Project 1164 modernised with pic related. I mean imagine the amount of inclined launchers it could have instead of P-1000 missile tubes.

Convair B-36 Peacekeeper. Largest piston-engined aircraft ever produced, longest wingspan of any combat aircraft ever, first purpose-built nuclear bomber. Was also used to carry a nuclear reactor in the aft bomb-bay during during the nuclear jet aircraft testing of the 50's.
>>35138077
>that seems a little unsafe
Which is a bit Ironic, because literally every single bit payload that An-225 was designed to transport was transported by V-MT. As the program was going, I mean. An-225 only got to transport Buran to an air show.
>>35138081

Why? Large Russian helicopters were mainly developed for fast and unpredictable deployment of theatre ballistic missiles. Nowadays the demand simply does not exist. V-12 was cancelled specifically because of the colossal success of RSD-10 Pioneer and for the most part due to the evolution of heavy ICBMs that became no longer air transportable with the introduction of 40+ tonne UR-100.

I did no go dumpster-diving, per se, but I did happen to come across a couple of technical manuals that had been left out in a cardboard box. Unfortunately it was rather rainy last week, and only one was properly wrapped in it's plastic jacket. More fortunately, however, it was the only one that was for a tank and not some manner of military truck, so now I'm the proud owner of a copy of the Hull/Automotive technical manual for the Tank, Combat, Full-Tracked, 152-MM Gun/Launcher M60A2
