We're in a cheap AR bubble that's going to last until manufacturers clear out the glut of rifles and parts that they made with the intention of gouging us for them in the interim between a Hillary win and the inevitable AWB 2.0 that would follow. Now they're up to their asses in them, and even at blowout prices it'll be a while before they're rid of them all. I give it maybe another year, so if you're planning to buy, do it now. After that, I expect prices to start stabilizing, and end up at $500-600 for an AR that isn't total crap.

So the bad news is most of you were too late for the $70 Mosin bubble, but you're right on time for the $400 AR bubble.

Second, stop BEING a retard. AKs were never cheap. Especially not for the Soviet Union itself. AKs require a significant amount of manual labor, skilled, unskilled, or otherwise. The AR is benefitting from not only a massive local economy of scale, but the fact that the entire rifle is assembled using either threaded or pinned parts or some other removable fastener. AK assembly requires parts to be welded, pinned (the kind you can't just push out with a pen cap), stamped, pressed and riveted, which in today's market is by far the most expensive part of manufacturing a gun. AR manufacturing is nearly pushbutton until the point you get somebody to assemble the gun, which takes 15 minutes at most.

Its the same pile of parts that were selling for $700-$1,000 at the end of October when people thought Hillary was going to be elected.

It's all overstock from AWB 2.0 that never happened because of Trumps victory.

Anyone know some AR10 deals? Del-Tron has one thats $900(~600) and PSA has one for $700. You can build one from PSA for $540 if you buy upper and lower and slap them together.

My range at home is only 100 yards. I'll throw on a scope and reach out to 300 from a bench at friends place after Irma leaves.
I honestly don't want to report either way yet. Its better than the Vietnam era M16 I had in basic though.
