They looked shit. EU Shadowtroopers were always lame and creatively bankrupt, but Deathtroopers were just messy. The Clone-era commandos were storm/clone troopers "elited up" right, looking more imposing and thick set than a regular, but still having a recognizable streamlined silhouette and not having to resort to blacker=eliter hackery. Not to mention they got btfo, so all the pre-release hype was for nothing, much like Phasma.

It all just seemed like such shit, how we were going to see Imperial SEALs in action, but in the end they behave identically to every other stormtrooper and fare just as well, but these one had faulty radios. They should have shot Malbus like a bitch when he suicided but no, have to make them act like retards so the named character can kill a few and look heroic.

Watsonian: Most of the missions you see in the show are exploration missions, not planned assaults or pure combat missions. The gate isn't left open to transmit the need for an airstrike and it can only be left open for 30mins anyway. That would've been better, but honestly 3 was enough to completely experience both the story and the mechanics. After playing a good amount online in 2 and 3, the gameplay just stopped being interesting for me, and the "community" just stopped being fun or consistent.

Go on to any console shooter lobby in 2017 and nobody even talks anymore. Everyone just stays in private parties and talks to eachother while they all play different games instead of engaging with the people in the game they're currently playing.

And now there's so much story material from the successive campaigns that you just stop caring about the characters. Bungie should've fucked over Microsoft at the last second and cut out the epilogue scene in Halo 3 so that the Chief is dead and Microsoft can't milk the series anymore.
