I'm not a huge fan of rimmed cartridges being fed in a semi-auto. Plus at that level I could be getting a 1911 with a .460 Rowland conversion for that .44 magnum power, even if the power isn't as good as say a .45 winchester, .50 AE, or .475 Wildey.

All .460 Rowland needs is a good movie and someone will make a 1911 specific for the caliber, I'm hoping. Then sales will take off.

I just find it funny because in the modern era it shouldn't be that hard to make semi-autos with magnum power loads but it's completely out of fashion, except for 10mm except that I think that will fall out of fashion too once people realize it's a measly 200ft/lbs of force greater than 9mm. The only way to go big bore these days is with revolvers but those are all for handgun hunters, and rarely have any recoil compensation.

At least there's still the Desert Eagle I guess.

This wouldn't be a terrible carry gun. Short 2.5 inch barrel, with .480 Ruger, that delivers a good 1,300 ft/lbs of muzzle energy (just barely touching intermediate caliber range), and reportedly is only slightly harder to handle than .44 magnum.

At the very least, it would be neat for HD.
