So has the ATF finally melted that sideways icebreg up their collective asses? Or are they setting us up for a big fall with all the toys and classifications that are allowed right now?....only to be taken away a short time later.

you need to ask Donald J. Trump about that.

Unless you failed your high school civics, you should know that the BATFE is a Justice Department Entity and falls under the executive branch of the government.
>>
>>35117021
Expect to get fucked next time a Democrat is in office. For now, do as you will.
Personally, I'm taking advantage of the shorter wait times to get a few SBRs. Worst case, I blow a couple hundred bucks. If BAFTE decides to make all these blades, braces, birdsheads illegal, then I'll be able to enjoy my guns.
>>

Unless of course that dem in charge asks why do you need a SBR?!?! Then checks the sign up sheet for soon to be dead dogs...

It's strange af

normally shotguns with barrels below 18" are either SBS or AOW NFA title 2 weapons that require a tax stamp and filing paperwork and various red tape

this skirts around this buy being built new as a over 26" PGO firearm

apparently over 26" with barrel under 18" is ok without a stock

https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/short-barrel-no-hassle-black-aces/

So is that clear as mud ?

yes in either configuration , even if with the pistol grip it is over 26" it had a stock at one point

the "black ace" MUST be constructed from a virgin receiver there fore never having been a shotgun before.

So it would seem that you could have a bit of a paradox with two near identical "firearms" however due to their origin one would have been a shotgun before and the other would not

Almost like Schrödinger's Doggo it would be both alive and dead until you read the serial number

Is that mental enough ?

You actually think the government cares about the environment? That's cute. Regulation exists because incumbents in the economy want to reduce or eliminate competition so they can charge higher prices. They lobby the government and then the government crafts a bill worded nicely like "reduces the amount of car pollution by regulating the use of taxi services through certificates" and has a pleasant title like "SaTA (Save the Taxis Act). They're American jobs, after all!

Seriously the whole regulatory system is a sham.

I think this one is firmly in the back burner. The ATFE knows about these """pistols""" and surely is aware of how well they are selling. I am certain that there are almost constant PowerPoints being provided to superiors about this issue. When you start to see gun shops stop winking and nudging about that """pistol""" and start openly displaying them as fully constructed items for purchase and as """pistol""" """brace""" manufacturers keep pushing the envelope and making their """braces""" more and more like stocks things will be revisited.

I think it will be fine until a shooting occurs with a """pistol""". There will be constant 24 hour coverage of """experts""" saying how this is totally legal to have this ultra concealable """pistol""" and how you can just buy them. The SECOND a shooting occurs with a """pistol""" deconstruct yours to prevent dog elimination.

Community college fire science class gets you in. Seriously, that's all there is to it.

The fact that you're not living that life is indicative of one of two things:

1) you realize that you're assessment is bullshit, but you went ahead and posted it anyways because you're a stupid cunt

2) you really DO think that being a firefighter is the easiest thing on the planet, but you're too fat and lazy to take classes and get in shape to live that life.

Paradoxical as this may sound, the fact that you posted this asinine bullshit on 4chan actually makes me think that you might be somehow suffering from both possibilities at once

You need to ""see"" a psychologist.

That being said the ATF is a bit miffed about people circumventing the written laws, but there is only so much they can do with opinion letters.

Write your damn reps and tell them to get rid of the NFA.
>>
I think the fact that the Associate Deputy Director/ Chief Operating Officer for the ATF penned a whitepaper calling for massive deregulation of the the industry and suppressors/sbr is pretty telling of the direction the ATF is trying to go.

They are currently adopting new technology to speed up form approvals. They realize that NFA is becoming increasingly popular and it is killing them with increased workload. They know its in their best interest to shorten wait times and deregulate some things.

Private schools are terrible at the low end of donation. It costs a LOT of money to provide education at a reasonable standard (jokes about current schools aside, it could certainly be worse).
Most firefighters are volunteers... Maybe where you are? Certainly not here. Either way, the department needs funding and private firefighting or other emergency services present many problems. Much easier to have everyone pay and use the economy of scale to get good deals on pruchasing.
Who pays the contractors? See above.
Self-regulation is a joke for people who believe companies have more heart than governments. Greenpeace is a joke in general.
I thought most ancaps hated unions for putting something ahead of entrepreneurship?
US healthcare is a bag of dicks, but we can at least agree that having them is better than not.
Russia caused a lot of trouble for Astan that Astan need not have endured if they had a strong national army.
Government overhead is more than people expect, but it was never going to be zero.

The ATF has alluded to the premise recently that they want SBR's and SBS's and alot of AOW's stricken from the NFA, possibly with some caveats, but the main line of reasoning being the sheer fuckhuge amount of Forms they get in.
It's probably why we are seeing "firearms" shotguns, folding braces, etc
They want to focus on machine guns ,explosives and actual gun crime.
The NFA was upheld in the late 30's (a case on an illegal SBS), the main argument back than by the SCOTUS is SBS's weren't used by the military, the argument against other NFA items was refused to be heard by the court.

SBS's, suppressors, and SBR's are used by the military now, if anything the ATF recognizes that they are the low hanging fruit that could bring down the NFA entirely in a challenge

If I recall correctly, the original 1934 NFA was supposed to ban handguns as well, so SBR's, SBS's, and AOW's were included so there would be no loopholes on unregulated concealable weapons.
>>
>>35117021
Unless you are a dumb ass with zero OP SEC and go shooting your braced weapon at public ranges, it a moot point isn't it?

This admin is pro gun, expect the BATFE to be lenient....the liberals get power, expect less leniency....

SBR's & SBS's are the least of anyone's worries.....

Until you see the BATFE hire a lot more agents, it's a moot point also...there are very few agents and they concentrate on actual bad guys, not fudd's...
