m9 is gay
>>35115017
Whatever you say, Glockfag.
>>35115017
You gay.
Why is the M9 being replaced?
>>35116209
So the military upper brass has more money to embezzle.
>>35116209
Probably weight.
M9 is heavier than the polymer pistols that it was competing with.
But just think of all those 200 dollar milsurp M9s that are going to flood the market over the next 10 years.
>>35116244
yea right.
We are still waiting on those 1911s right.
It may be a good gun, but I don't want one unless I can get it on the cheap.
>>35116209
The army doesn't maintain them, and passes them down to new recruits over and over. They decided to buy new pistols instead of actually repairing and maintaining them.
>>35116051
Glock is the superior pistol, just admit it, da/sa faggot
>>35116194
Berettafag, I know you're insecure because your pistol is hot garbage compared to a glock or 1911. Spaghetti nigger shit has always been inferior. just admit it
A thread died for this.
>>35116421
ikr, at least make it a glock general
>This thread started off as a low quality shit post meant to bait anons and has now morphed into an indept discussion about miltary beaucracy and future milsupr markets.
I love you anons.

>buying firearms designed by Austrian plumbers
>>35116258
Probably cheaper than repairing them. Plus other than the fact that they're not drop safe, p320s are just better guns.

>Enjoy your ergonomic Visigoth hand grenade
>>35115017
>tfw missed out on an italian service m9 for 250 usd
>>35116051
But I only own a Glock currently and I love Berettas?
>>35117606
The P320 variant that was recently adopted is drop-safe. I believe the inadvertent discharges are contained to consumer market models. The "upgrade" parts to make the consumer grade P320s drop-safe are standard parts for the military variant.

>Buying pistols designed by a Austrian curtain rod manufacturer.
>>35116244
Yeah....I don't think that's going to work like you hope it to.
>>35116209
Old and used.
>>35116244
They're like 970 grams loaded.
>But just think of all those 200 dollar milsurp M9s that are going to flood the market over the next 10 years.
I wouldn't, a lot of those are not in pretty shape
>>35116337
>can't fit 18+1rds flush
>doesn't look badass
What now, Tupperware-fag?
>>35116209
Too many confusing controls for today's vibrant and diverse army.
>>35117514
Get rid of the "d" in "indept" and your statement is correct.

You're probably not going to want them. Will be beat to shit. Although for $200, as long as the frame's still good, you should be fine to replace parts.
>>35115017
no u
>surplus M9s
Oh yes
As long as the locking block is in one piece they'll be fine to shoot. The barrels might be fucked though, I'm not sure if/when the military replaces them.
>>35115017
fucking sage

Hey! Don't reveal that Soldier's sexual orientation! Xe is allowed to reveal it of its own volition, but you cannot "out" that Soldier!
Report to the re-training tent for SHARP re-education, no-go!

>You're probably not going to want them. Will be beat to shit.
Idgaf I want one to go with my 92FS
>>35118171
How many stars does this guy have?
>>35116209
Beretta m9a3 was like $700/gun and sig was like $208/gun
So 1 beretta = 3 sigs. Lowest bidder that can meet the minimum requirements and all that.
>>35115017
>>35120828
Also the m9a3 isn't modular
>>35118619
At least they'll probably work. Cant say the same for other $200 pistols.
>>35116387
I remember when I was excited about my first handgun too.
