My go to local range is starting to become shit like the rest and I only shot 2 out of my 4 guns even though I bought 3 this year, in which seemed like a 5 year gap of my previous purchasing activity. I slept like 12 hours today.

I'm pretty fucking pissed but that's normal. The latest news I've heard is CRPA/NRA are suing DOJ over their regulatory nonsense and literally writing in new law by themselves so while I hope that goes somewhere I guarantee it'll get stalled by the 9th circus. The microstamping case which is at the Cali Supreme Court looks more interesting but we'll have to wait. I fully expect both the 10-day wait and salt gun ban cases currently up for consideration to be denied cert by SCOTUS. Ginsberg needs to die already, and probably Kennedey as well.

There's a good chance gov brown will sign that new bull that's effectively going to put the vast majority of FFLs out of business with the total nonsense concrete pillars and new storage requirements. If that bill becomes law, all the anti-gun cities/towns/municipalities will have to do is make is prohibit installation of steel bollards in front of stores because there's no pre-preemption in the bill and that exact situation already happened to an FFL already.

So far, San Leandro Rifle & Pistol Range is staying okay. They're hella picky about ammo and will boot you in a second if you shoot steel-case or FMJ, but other than that I have no complaints about them. Also, there's approximately zero chance they'll get shut down like Chabot Gun Club, because both San Leandro and Hayward PD use them as their practice range.

Another anon here, I grew up in Palm Spring (Palm Desert actually). Entertainment choices can be real limited if you're not part of the wealthy 55+ "golf, wine and spa crowd." It helps if you learn to love desert hiking.

However, all those young waitresses and hospitality babes need something (and someone) to do at night. If you're decent looking and not a manlet you can make a killing in the club scene on Palm Canyon. White manlets can do okay with the Mexican chicks. And Mexican manlets are out of luck.

Also, all the desert retiries are pro gun and ultra-conservative... the men are based as fuck Gran Torino Archie Bunker types. If you tell them you're into shooting they get excited and start pulling all the ordinance out of the closet, wanting to do show and tell.
