Germany would have beaten the UK without US lend-lease providing cargo ships & escorts for convoys, and the UK was probably far more prepared for ASW than any other country in the world. Look at how Japan was so completely incapable of defending itself against the USA's submarine and mine campaign toward the end of WW2, U-Boats & mining would have brought Japan to its knees

The UK actually out produced Germany for most of the war. and Canadian shipyards were just as busy as US ones.

Yeah, Japan just gets skullfucked by the Kreigsmarine in this instance. They would be unable to break into the Baltic Sea due to mines, torpedo boats and the land based Luftwaffe, and the German U-boats would wreak havoc upon any Japanese vessel. The Japs had horrendously bad ASW techniques, perhaps being faced with a stronger initial threat from U-boats with less pressure to defeat a surface navy would rectify this.

But as it stands the Japanese have no real chance of getting onto the German mainland, even if they do, even in 1936 I believe the Wehrmacht has a significant upperhand even before getting into the supply problems the Japanese would face due to submarines destroying their naval supply lines. The Luftwaffe would probably struggle initially against the Japanese airforce, but as poor as the Zero did against .50cals I just can't help but think 20mm cannons are going to tear them several new assholes in short order. The Bf.109 was also a similarly maneuverable light fighter so much of the initial advantages the Japanese had against the US, with the older, sluggish, slower Wildcat would not be nearly as pronounced in this instance.
