Has anyone had experience CC'ing any Sig compact pistols? I can't find any reviews that pertain to concealing exclusively. Im turning 21 soon and am looking at the P320 Compact. Pic related. Any thoughts?
>>
>>35105923
Imo it's a little wide. It's the same size as a full p320 but with a shorter barrel

If you wanna cc something get a mp9 shield
>>
>>35105929
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into them now.
>>
>>35105923
Sig is shit. 90% of their new products have defects of have been recalled, including the P320. Another shitty thing they do is come out with "A1" versions of their guns without labeling them as such, meaning one gun might have different magazines depending on what year or what its serial number is.

If you want a polymer compact 9mm, there are several options out there that are basically identical in function and price (Sigshit is also expensive compared to its competitors). Your best option is to go to your local gun store after you turn 21, and just fingerfuck all the guns that you are interested in that are within your size limit and price range. Maybe you'll like the P320 the best, but I just wanted to give you a fair warning about their products.
>>
>>35105929

If you got big hands, this gun will feel like shot to you.
>>
>>35106001
I appreciate the warning. And I'll definitely be fingerfucking as many guns as I can when my birthday comes.

imho concealed carry almost always means single stack to prevent as much printing as possible
pic has 8 rd flush + 9 rd 2nd mag = 17 carried
far more concealable that p320 compact
mp9 shield is shit, don't listen to >>35105929

And you call the Shield shit, posting a picture of a Springfield. You're a funny guy.
>>
>>35106279
>muh holster hides by lard ass
Nothing but issues with both my shields. Both sent back for service multiple times. Very unreliable. Go fuck a cactus until you bleed out whatever illness you have.
>>
>>35105923
Wait until they fix the safety issues the P320s have. As of right now, they're not drop safe from the factory.
>>
>>35105923
It's alright. Wide, but grip is short so it doesn't poke out to much. Get a good holster and a baggy shirt if you want to do it.
>>
>>35106001
What a liar.
>>
>>35105923
Anon Sigs 320 performance wise is outstanding. Wait until the updated models for the p320 roll out. Alot of Glock enthusiasts are BTFO still about Sig getting the government contract so they will miss direct you.

It's thicc compared to a G19 but manageable.

If you are willing to deal with a manual safety, the sig p938 is king amongst SS 9mms. I prefer SAO gun and even DA/SA to striker fired but I'm waiting for a thumb safety version of the p320 to hit the market

As a skeletor, I also prefer SS for carry, YMMV

No one has even suggested OP buy a Glock. Glock doesn't innovate their shit, but OP could still buy a semi-custom G19 for the price of a P320, and the Glock won't AD if it's dropped.

The only Sig product I would consider buying at this point is the Mk 25 because muh Navy SEALs, but even they switched to Glock, so I guess Sig really is shit lmao The Rex Zero 1 is the superior P226 anyway.

WINTER HAVEN | The Police Department is ditching $38,000 worth of guns after two .45-caliber GAP Glock Model 37 pistols exploded in separate training incidents a year a part, causing minor injuries to an officer and a cadet.

“I’ve been around 34 years in law enforcement, and we’ve seen malfunctioning with guns, but never seen it explode,” Police Chief Mark LeVine said.

The one good thing I will say about Sig is that the MCX racked up an impressive high score of queers in Florida last year.

The Army should have just done the logical thing and went with the Beretta M9A3, but US military small arms contracts have been nothing but a series of dick-waving contests and a matter of who can grease the right palms since the adoption of the M14. It's probably one reason why advancement in firearms design has stagnated so much.

I actually like the way the MPX looks. Wouldn't buy it because it'll probably be recalled 6 days after picking it up. I fell for the modular meme and it was neat as fuck and still kinda is but it's a mediocre whichever way you have it. still super neat to go from a fullsize to a compact though. gonna sell it though. still want a 229 legion in 357 Sig because I'm a faggot but damn
>>
>>35109424
In my opinion, the "modular handgun" concept makes more sense for the consumer market than for a military application where it will stay in its holster 90% of the time anyway. The fact that the Army's requirements for a new handgun were pretty much written around the P320 is evidence that some shekels were exchanged somewhere. The MPX does seem cool, but I'd rather buy an MP5 clone for that same amount of money.

I was also interested in the Legion P226 until the AREX happened.
>>
>>35109481
we're on the same page babe. I feel Glocks are alot more durable than the 320.
I'm dying for an MP5K.

>>
>>35105923
They're a bit fat if you're planning on wearing just a t-shirt, but you can slap a compact slide onto a subcompact grip. See if you can find a carry (full size mag, compact slide) model instead, and get the SC grip.
>>
>>35109481
>military application where it will stay in its holster 90% of the time
That's cops. Military is more like 99.9%. Pistols are the dress swords of the 21st century.
>>
>>35109481
To be fair, I think making any weapon that can "suit any situation" will just be overall mediocre, specialization is necessary for most weapons

Caveat: I've never CC'd the P320 Compact, only range fired one as a rental. That being said I was blown away with how good it felt in my hand and how easy it was to control.
>>
>>35109481
This so much. The only good part of the "modular" is if you break something you can just throw in a new part easily.

Caliber changes? Backstrap adjustments? Army is NEVER going to do that shit. It's going to be one size fits all in 9mm NATO.

After Sig replaces all the triggers, the P320 would be a great buy. I really like mine a lot. That said, do not buy it until/unless it has the upgraded trigger. That process is likely to take months, and thats for people who already own the gun and registered for the free upgrade the day it became available.

I have a P320 subcompact, but the other gun I was considering which is a similar size is the HK P30SK (LEM version). I'm looking at it again now that my P320 will be at the Sig's factory for 6-8 weeks getting fixed.

FYI P320s run big for their capacity, but I have no problem concealing mine AIWB under just a t-shirt.
>>
>>35110327
The trigger replacement literally doesn't matter. It's the sear and striker modifications as well as the added disconnecter that will determine if these things can be made safe.
>>
>>35105923
Don't. I carried one concealed and it's wide and heavy. Get a Glock 19 instead. You won't regret it.
>>
>>35105923
Sucks to conceal. But so do most double stack compact handguns, such as glock19. If youre gonna conceal get a subcompact like a g43, shield, xds, or sig 320 subcompact.

I have a 45acp 320 carry, and use a sub compact frame for ccw. I chose carry size over full size because sights aligned perfectly on the compact sized slide whenever i would bring it up. Full size and sub compact i always had to adjust hand position.

A lot of sig hating and faggotry in this thread. take it with a lump of salt as most retards on K simply regurgitate whatever idiocy they've read from other 4chaners.

While the p320 isn't the best at anything it is really good at being a jack of all trades. As a first time CCW and possibly even handgun owner this is likely to be of particular interest to you.

The sig p320 does just about everything as well as any other member of the doublestack competition while offering the ability to change from a full size grip to a subcompact. This means that you can have one gun that can be used for relatively deep concealment while also being capable of offering a full sized grip should your wardrobe allow it(can you say winter carry/range use?). It's going to be enjoying major aftermarket support due to it's use by many institutions and i frankly couldn't name a gun that will offer as much modularity as it does.

OTOH if modularity and market support mean nothing to you, or if you really want a super concealable/comfy EDC then there are going to be better choices.
>>
>>35107451
>IIRC, that was because of dogshit ammo the NJSP bought because they're cheap.

That's what Sig claims. The reality is that the training ammo of the New Jersey State Police is Speer Lawman, which is an FMJ loaded to identical pressures as the Speer Gold Dot. It is actually some of the best FMJ that money can buy, and any decent gun should be able to run it with no problems.
>>

>>
>>35111559
Speaking in regards to the p320 the only "defect" it had was not being drop safe in a manner that is typically never tested for. Who even knows what other guns may fail under that condition.

Sig has had some pretty meh quality here or there but whether that will prove to be consistently systemic or simply a growing pain remains to be seen.
>>
>>35111596
