Could the this give the Glock 19 a run for its money?

I'm interested.

What's the distinction with 1.0?
>>
do m&p 2.0s still have the 1.0 garbage triggers and accuracy issues?
>>
>>35104201
Slightly less of a garbage trigger compared to the 1.0, but still better than a stock glock trigger.

How come?

I can tell with one look that it won't.

>>

>>
The 2.0 smiths are fucking great. Triggers are perfect, sights are good, and the grips are the highlights.
>>
>>35104201
Triggers aren't bad at all.
Far better than my Shield trigger. Although I'm not a huge fan of the shape, it's curved too much.
>>35105144
Cause why buy a glock in the year of 2017?
>>35105455
The grip is pretty fantastic, although from what LGS was telling me, other people don't like it cause it's too rough. My guess is that casuals don't care too much about having a non slip grip, they just pick it up and it feels like sandpaper to them.
I foresee S&W will keep the old line around for a while just in case the casuals don't take a liking to the M2.0
>>
>>35105455
Triggers are certainly better. They are far from perfect though, and I'm not a trigger snob in the least. I still think they are worse than glock.
>>
>>35104201
Is this 2005? No, they don't have those issues. THey haven't for 10 years.
>>
>>35103870
Fuck yeah, I've been fucking praying they would make it G19 sized.

I have no reason to buy a gen 5 Glock now.
>>
>>35103870
Finally, someone besides Steyr wises up and makes a gun that competes directly with the Glock 19, just in time for Glock to introduce a new version of the gun everybody gets memed into buying that has all the same features as the M&P, plus a magwell.
This will appeal to people who were on the fence about getting a M&P because they didn't make a 19-size gun and no one else.
>>
>safety

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>
>>35106141
Its street price is going to be at least $100 less than the glock's.

I entered a raffle for a gen 5 G19, but if I don't win it I'm going to just stick with my gen 4 until this comes out.

>>35106168
There's a NMS model too, idiot. It's right in the picture.
>>
>>35106176
People who are slightly too poor to afford a Glock-brand Glock are a subset of the on-the-fence people I described.
>>
Will it still "auto forward"? I always saw this as a defect and not a feature. My 1.0 wouldn't reliably strip the round from the magazine no matter how hard or soft I slammed the mag in the gun.

Also did they swap to a loaded chamber indicator bar like the stupid Ruger design? I always preferred the visual port and have never felt a need to tactically feel if my gun is loaded in the dark.

Don't get me wrong, I like this update. Just hesitant to get another M&P based on these "features".

>garbage triggers and accuracy issues

>>35105302
>taller and thicker than glock 19
>lacks polygonal rifling in 2017
>shit-tier hinged trigger
>sand paper grip texture from the factory
>looks even uglier than glock
>Comes with 1 less mag

Why would anyone buy one of these? To save 100 bucks over an actual glock?
>>
>>35106220
Being poor has nothing to do with wanting to save money.

>>35106287
The full-size doesn't anymore, I assume the compact won't either.

From what I can tell it's just a viewing port in the chamber, not a lever or anything.
>>
>>35106464
You sound like a guy who just looks at features and stats online all day and never actually go shooting.
>>
>>35105144
Just like how they look more than glocks, like the sand paper grips and the grip angle. I'm just thankful it's 15 rounds and not 13, that's what made me start looking at glocks.
>>
>>35106464
You do realize the Gen 5 Glock moved away from polygonal rifling?
>>
>>35108381
It's not polygonal, but it's not traditional lands and grooves either.

It's hexagonal, which acts basically like polygonal rifling except the edges aren't as sharp, it's supposed to help create a better gas seal. You still can't shoot unjacketed ammo through it despite a mountain of disinfo saying you can.

At any rate it's not like it matters anyway, almost nobody will shoot out a pistol barrel.
>>
>>35108381
It's still polygonal. 9mm glocks have been hexagonal rifling forever.

I think they've just added a distinguishing feature to the rifling so that agencies can tell what bullets were fired from their guns.

Miami had special rifling for their departments.

They are just marketing it because it's different from the previous barrel.

Got a question about the shield I just picked up. The recoil spring is fucking insane right now and online reviews pretty much just say, "work it until it loosens".

What will accomplish this faster? Leaving the slide locked back or shooting the shit out of it?
>>
>>35109203
I got mine loosened up pretty quick. Put 200 rounds through when I bought it, then just finger fucked it constantly for about a week. But when I got it out was a battle locking the slide back, now it's pretty easy.
>>
>>35109203
Shooting it. Springs only wear while in motion. Leaving it locked back does nothing.
>>
>>35103870
Why can't I find anything about this on the s&w site?

This better be real.

It is, my distributors have them listed and Brownells is taking pre orders.
>>
>>35109051

Nice.

I'm in no hurry though, I'll wait a few months and snag one on sale somewhere, S&W handguns always go on sale pretty quickly.
>>
>>35109203
>>35109217
>>35109269
About how long did it take for you guys to get that free shit from S&W for getting a shield during their summer sale?
>>
>>35106615
>being poor has nothing to do with being suckered in by false economy
A hundred dollars this way or that is peanuts when you consider the cost of all the ammo you're going to put through it.
>>
>>35110706
actually, it matters. Exactly $100 worth.
>>
>>35110706
A great way to get a head start on all that ammo you'll put through the gun is by saving a hundred bucks and buying 500 rounds of 9mm with it.
>>
why do glockfaggots get so triggered when people prefer something other than a glock?
>>
>>35110722
>>35110887
Okay, poorfags.
>>
>>35111069
Nigger, I own a glock already. You're just stupid.
>>
I'm definitely interested in this. Can't wait to finger fuck one.

>It's not polygonal
>It's hexagonal
I don't think you understand what at least one of those words means.
