Jesus Christ, you have some pent up anger issues. What is it with you Glockfags that you take it as the most indignant affront to your pride when someone suggests that there is something else better out there? I own Glocks among many other pistols, I don't invest my pride in a company.
>>
>>35101296
Is it G19 sized?
>>
>>35101952
Looks like it. It's a 15rd mag instead of 17rd like the bigger ones.

Gen 5. Boo-Ya
>>
>>35102225
What a fucking abortion of a Glock.
"Yeah, I want a g17, but fuck, shorten up that barrel a bit. Also throw a safety on it because I am a retard".
>>
>>35101296
FUCKING FINALLY.

Literally been waiting for the M&P9c to come out for a new CCW, The fact that its ~g19 sized is just fucking gravy. What they should've done all along.

Now the only question is if it's better than a p320 that i can slap a SC frame on in the warmer months...
>>
>>35102225
except thats not a gen 5. nimrod

Wow, what a ground break design with so many meaningful improvements over it's predecessor.
>>
>>35101296
It's still an M&P

will gen 3 have a good trigger?

Is it slightly larger than the gen 1? I really like my 9c but not being glock 19 sized was the biggest complaint I heard...
>>
>>35101296
Shit, I might buy one. Not a big fan of the first M&P when I rented it, but the full sized 2.0 I think I'd choose over a G17 as a duty gun.
>>
>>35102338

>9c
>not being glock 19 sized

Anon I have some bad news for you....
>>
>>35102308
There's nothing wrong with doing minor improvements and updating guns more than once every half century.
>>
>>35102338
Imho it's size was both the best and worst part of the M&P9c.

Take the pinky extension off and you've got a gun between the g19 and g26. Leave it on and your gun is almost g19 sized.

Awkwardly sized, but kinda gave it a specific use that glock couldn't compete with it on.

I have a full sized, 9c, and shield in 40 and 9mm all with polished trigger bits so I'm buying nothing for the foreseeable future since none of the 2.0 stuff seems worth it. The 9c fits my hand perfectly with the extension and isn't longer in the back so it is more concealable...
>>
>>35102511
out of curiosity how would you go about polishing up the "trigger bits" in an m&p
>>
>>35102528
>http://www.burwellguns.com/M&Ptriggerjob1.htm
Follow that, or buy the apex stuff for like $150... The newer sears already have the different profile so the striker plunger and the adjusting the loop makes the biggest difference....
>>
>>35102528
Different anon, but what I did was just polish the entire arm (doesn't really do much, other than maybe slightly help with it sliding across the wall of the frame). The important part is the protrusion on the arm that depresses the firing pin block. I also took out the FPB and polished it, and removed some of the machining grit left in the hole that it seats into.
>>
>>35102528
how does the grip angle compare to the Glock 19?

It's the one ting I really hate about my glock and you can't really change it without risking reliability and/or spending a ton of money.

I'm probably eventually going to switch out my glock as an EDC piece for something else.

>>35102579
wow, thanks for the info
>>
>>35102579
You have to try them both. Most people tend to hate the glock grip angle because it is steeper than most other guns. People that learned on, and mostly shoot glocks don't like other guns. I can go back and forth with almost no issue, I just need to do 3-5 dry draws to 'calibrate' myself to the new gun.
>>
>>35102225
Is there any plan to sell the MHS models?
>>
>>35102632
Yes.
>>
>>35102636
Any idea what calibers will be interchangeable? I'm hoping it's not like the Sig P320 where the damned .45 model wasn't interchangeable with any of the others.
>>
>>35102676
No idea, I didn't even know it planned to have caliber conversion ability. I wasn't interested in a shortened g17.
>>
>>35102696
Fair enough, appreciate your time.
>>
>>35102619
I do most of my shooting on my Glock 19. I can make it work for sure, but when I pick up my surplus browning Hi Power every few weeks it just points so much more naturally. I'm definitely more comfortable with 1911 style grips.
>>
>>35102636
Got a source for that?

Honestly would prefer 17 slide length on 19 grip length instead of vice versa, IMO
>>
>>35102718
Yeah, I guess if I had to compare the two, 1911 grip angles point more naturally, and glock grip angles let me lock in my grip better for absorbing recoil. It puts my thumbs more in line with my radius bones.
>>
>>35102731
Here's one I found quickly, I don't know how trustworthy this source is offhand.
https://kitup.military.com/2017/08/glock-mhs-handgun-commercial-market-official.html
>>
>>35102718
A more neutral grip angle is preferable for aiming for most people. The grip angle on Glocks helps you "drive" the weapon on target to compensate for recoil. Or at least that's how it's supposed to work.
>>
this is awesome, the M&P 2.zero is pretty great and this will make a top notch carry gun
>>
>>35102821
That grip texture is essentially skateboard tape though. It's going to rub you/your clothes raw and your shirt is going to get caught up on it.
>>
>>35102783
that makes sense, if I practice enough I can drive tacks with my glock 19 and I find that when I do rapidfire drills it performs much better than my Hi Power, but honestly for a carry gun I want something that points naturally right out of the holster even if I've been slacking on my dry fire practice.
>>
>>35102867
If you want a more neutral grip angle without getting a bigger framed gun with the same capacity (VP9, PPQ) I'd recommend trying a CZ P01 Compact or Sig 229. DA/SA if that's not a deal-breaker for you. Two very high quality guns (the former of which is around G19 price)
>>
>>35102922
The Glock 19 is the local narcotics detective who's seen some shit and is counting the days until retirement. The 229 is the college athlete turned federal agent who just wants to make a difference.
>>
>>35101296
i cant find anything online regarding the info of a release or anything. link?

Why would I buy this over other tupperware specials like a gen 3-5 Glock or an HK p30?
>>
>>35103033
>Better ergo's than glock
>Lots of aftermarket support
>Less expensive than both, but still high quality
>>
>>35103063
Does it still have the full retard design where you need to remove the rear sight to do a full take down?
>>
>>35103081
No, but the textbook way to do it (slide open, lower takedown lever, depress the sear release lever, pull slide off) is retarded and is only there for people too scared to pull the trigger (which works just as well). So when some say that you need a tool to disassemble it, it's a half-truth.
>>
>>35103081
The only thing you need to remove the sight for is to remove the FPB. I think glock does it way better, but you don't need to get to the FPB unless you are changing it out or polishing it up.
>>
>>35103202
Eh it's a big deal when all the competition doesn't have the issue and all the guns same to be near equal in the other areas.
>>
>>35103311
Plenty of guns aren't engineered to let you remove the FPB easily. My CZ75 and 92FS are like that.

That's the 45C you dolt.

I don't know. I don't own one. I tend to fully disassemble any new gun design I get just to see how it works. That's all I'm going off of here.

BITCH I AM NOT FUCKING AROUND WHERE ARE THE FUCKING LEEKS?

Glad the new line up bottomed out the price of the shields.
>>
>>35103510
Idk either. But being able to fully service your gun at home and easily with no special tools is a huge plus in my book.
>>
>>35103550
That's why I like glocks, I can take it down to individual parts sans sights with nothing other than the glock tool or similar sized stick.
>>
>>35103463
is it just me, or is that pic misleading?

The 9c overlay looks like it is intentionally shifted upwards to make them both look more comparably sized. Just look at the difference in where the slide begins and the frame ends.

>>35103583
It's placed using the root of the trigger guard (where you would be jamming your strong hand's middle finger) as the reference with apparent bore axis oriented horizontally. I figured that for carry, that would give the best comparison of how much of the gun sticks out of a holster.

I've got an .xcf with all these guns lined up like this.
