And to clarify, I literally mean being hit with a projectile.

Well to clarify, what is shooting it?
Beause if we are talking 9x19 that actually enchants the weapon with with a damage reduction spell, but it has to actually penetrate
Clean, well oiled, guns hold-up best

Any type of pdw I imagine, considering you can one arm it.
Are you talking about the weapon being being shot or you being shot?
Hipoint. Demolition ranch shot one with a 12 gauge using 00 buck from about 15 feet away, twice, and they kept on running. The slide is zinc casts but they beef them the fuck up just for that reason making it stupid strong.

The firearm itself being struck by a bullet shot from some other weapon.

I think he's talking about which firearm holds up best after being hit by a bullet. Which is so complex a question there is no right answer.

It would probably be an overunder shotgun or double barrel.
Even if you have a hole in the barrel with slugs it'd still operate just fine.
The action is super simple.
An AR might be good as well since you would be able to readily change out the upper or lower if you had one on hand.

not trying to be a meme supreme but I'd say a milled AK as far as modern assault rifles go. Strong solid slabs of steel hold up far better than aluminum. Old school Remingtons will outlast the shit out of Mossbergs, even though I'm more of a 590 guy myself.
