I bought a CZ 75 SP-01 because I wanted to prove to /k/ that I'm tall enough to carry a full size, all steel handgun.

1911: Classic. Powerful, accurate, reliable, concealable. Excellent trigger. Heavy, dated, single stack.

BHP: Removed the stupid mag safety, reinstalled when sold. Trigger/sights/safety adequate. Concealed well. Not up to +P in a 9mm. Reliable, accurate.

Makarov: Poorfag Commie gun. Simple, rugged, dependable.with a shitty cartridge and no single action override.

Glock: Adequate. Shitty trigger, no manual safety. Not handload friendly due to poorly supported barrel and polygonal rifling. Sewed up a guy who had a kB! from an out-of-battery discharge. Fucked up his hand, gun in pieces. Metal frames tend to blow the mag out the well and sting. Never trusted polymer again.

XD: Cut rifling, better chamber, decent sights, better trigger than Glock all wrecked by a derptastic grip safety that won't let you cycle the slide if engaged or broken.

EAA: Must be some poorfag in my genome. Burned 2k rounds hot 10mm trying to crack a Wonder Finish slide, no luck. Heavy, bulky, complex, crappy trigger, holster/accessory selection. Woke up one morning and chewed the pulsating ball of suck and fail off my arm.

CZ 75 Compact: Current carry. Condition One friendly, +P no problem. Trigger/sights/safety decent. Essentially an updated BHP. Mags, spare parts cheap. Reliable. No rail, don't want one in a CCW piece. Internal finish rough, harder to disassemble/repair. Czechs drink more per capita than anyone. Watch the QC.

They were switching to 455s and didn't want a slip-fit barrel. Wanted the most accurate factory rifle I could afford. Sub-MOA at 50 yards with CCI Standard (sub-MOA groups at 25 slung in prone, too).

Wanted a simple summer carry pistol that would be legal basically anywhere with standard, non-gimped mags.

Wanted a zero-recoil, amazing-trigger centerfire pistol. It kicks ass, btw. Good reliability with Tripps.

M1 Carbine
Fun intermediate-cartridge carbine that wasn't a soulless aluminum casting.

S&W 642
Pocket carry. In a Mika, this is the ultimate errand-running gun. Not particularly easy to shoot well, but easy to carry. 9-pound DAO trigger a plus, I have a toddler.
