I need new optics for my battle rifle, what dose /k/ recommend?
>>35096818
Drill and tap mount.
Get a rail welded on by a reputable company, or deal with a claw mount.
I'd just say get gud faggot and use the irons
>>35096861
I can git gud with or without irons, I just want sights with a nice and wide open sight picture that wont also fall apart while I use it like with pic related.
>>35096861
How are claw mounts or removable rails for the ptr91 and fal?
I want to get an old school big boy rifle and maybe put an optic on it at some point, but rails welded onto things that didn't originally have them trigger my autism.
sell POS and buy AR-10, problem solved
compm4
stupid question but why is claw undesirable?
Acog
>>35096818
Getting a rifle invented at the same time as scope mounts.
>>35096818
dont you mean
O P T I C S?
>>35097163
i had a legit claw mount and even it felt a little wonky, i would much rather have something fixed in place than a mount that merely grips the receiver.
>>35097158
that is more expensive than my rifle
Perhaps pic related? I'm just looking for something that isn't fragile chink made shit.
>>35097500
its okay to just say peace of mind then.
>>35097579
Thats hilarious because the sig romeo is literally made in China.
>>35097579
Buy one off ebay or some shit
$190

Is anything from Fastfire worth considering?
How far into the thread are we and no one has recommended a 1-4x? Up 6 or 8x if you have the money.
Burris, Primary Arms, Leopould, Vortex, etc are all good.
>>35097637
>>35097877
I like the sound of both of these options

I have a PTR91. Love the irons but sometimes I want glass. I use a claw mount.
Claw mount is GOAT.
You can easily attach or detach, yet it still holds a zero. And while it is on, you can still use the iron sights.
>>35097967
this
>>35097500
>>35097611
My claw mount is solid, no wobble and holds zero. Very nice.
>>35097877
I use a 3-9x vortex on a claw mount for my ptr
>>35097798
The burris fastfires are fine red dots, but they're more for handguns.
>>35096818
OP, you know where I could get a PTR91 at a good price??
Another PTR-91 fag here. Im thinking of getting a vortex strike eagle 1-8, but i want a mount that will still let me see irons. I dont need a claw since I have the rail factoty installed.
Wat buy?
>>35097877
Burris is chink shit too
>>35097073
Get a B&T mount. Rock solid. The traditional claw mounts for roller lock guns are OKAY, but it's kinda hard, and expensive, to find an original claw mount were as the repro are cheap and show it.
>>35096818
Depends on what you want to do with it. I ran a micro Dot with a riser on mine for awhile. Worked pretty well. Switched to a 1-4x. Works decently, but not as fast for quick target acquisition.
>>35099046
Do cheapo mounts just not hold zero or are there other issues to worry about?
>>35098674
I dunno, my rifle is a cetme that cost about 700 $USD.
>>35099216
my mount cost 30 dollars, works fine.
