Is it? I've never stood beside one when shooting before, whenever letting someone shoot mine I always stand just behind them

There was a little girl like 5 years old in a little viewing room behind the firing line with I'm assuming her mom and watch g her dad shoot, and I was angling my gun a certain way so the spent steel would ricochet off the stall wall next to me and land right in front of her behind the glass and she was having a ton of fun with that and would dance and laugh whenever my spent steel landed next to her

I like the smell of surplus items, it sounds weird but.....I often huff my pouches, like just sit there and smell, and smell...and smell them.

I've started taking it a step further and have been putting small food items in the pouches,if left in for a bit of time they will get a little surplus taste.

Sup /k/

Back in 2013, I had money and found a great deal on a WASR 10/63. 500 dollars new and shipped, with 8 mags. I loved that fucker, sights were straight and it shot beautifully.

Unfortunately I had to sell it last year, but at least I sold it used for 800.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any leads on a similar deal for a solid stock AK similar, or even a WASR again. Understandable if it only comes with 1 mag.

I haven't bought a firearm since late 2013, not sure how the market has been affected, I figure it's docile now that Trump got elected and we know no one is coming to regulate our guns for the time being, but I have no idea.

Thanks in advance guys.

Hey guys.

I want to finally finish my Saiga and get a professional front end conversion done on it. Hopefully Izhmash everything, correct to be as much of a real AK-103 as I possibly can. Who does the best conversions? What is the turn around time? How much would a front end conversion cost? Any help is appreciated.
>>
>>35084396
For 5.45 pick any good 5.56 pouches.
>>
>>35084554
I'd add the caveat that you want any 5.56 pouches to be flexible. Rigid 5.56 pouches may not allow for an AK mag's locking tab to fit into the pouch.

So are quite literally the only decent options for AKs that are still imported the WASR and Arsenals? Really seems like anything else is either dogshit or banned from import, kinda sucks, at least I have my 107R
>>
>>35085176
There's a lot of stuff that's simply discontinued due to manufactures being retarded (see: Arsenal of Bulgaria).
>>
>>35085191
Its supposedly coming back this spring, Arsenal bet on the wrong horse and didn't import stuff to civilians and sold to military contracts instead because they probably bet Hillary would win and we'd get AWB part 2.

I get the feeling the claims of the 104 being discontinued are bullshit, worst case scenario they'll probably release a 104R to save money
>>
>>35085240
I hope you're right.
>>
>>35085240
They better pay us back with some neat stuff but I doubt that, which is a shame because they'd pretty much have the market cornered, which probably means they're going to spike up prices to the importer and generally be less competitive.

No idea to be honest, but it should be doable. At the very least any brace can be put on there, as long as it's a regular folding trunnion it'll still be easier to get a new stock than cut the barrel.

>Lmao at all the people saying "well it's just a budget gun" or "mine been fine, sure it's not an arsenal but..." the whole point isn't that it isn't an Arsenal, the whole point is that it isn't even a WASR... I mean fuck, I'd rather take one of those abortion MISR Maadis with a mish mash of Egyptian AKM and Chinese Type 56 parts than a RAS 47. It's not a fit and finish issue, it's a metallurgical issue and now a business practice and ethics issue. It poorly engineered and made for the lowest common denominator of shooter that they expect will put less than a few hundred rounds through it a year. They've routinely demonstrated, not only poor engineering on material choice and design but poor quality control over all. Here's a little hint for all of you bragging about your 1-2k round count on your RAS 47's or C39V2's... A proper stamped AK can easily go through 2-4 barrels (easily 90k rounds) before having the sorts of issues that the RAS-47's are having in under 10k rounds. If you want some evidence of this, go check out all the stuff that Battle Field Las Vegas as put out and remember that all that is under constant full auto function, meanwhile the RAS-47's are shitting the bed in, optimistically, 1/9th the time with only semi-auto fire.

AKfiles should have RU GT's
>>
>>35087074
Because people typically use the cheapest of the cheap ammo through them, and because ak owners often use their guns more as really fun toys with irons rather than paper punchers with $500 scopes.
At least for me, the few cents a round more for GT 762 tightened up my groups considerably through optics. Not everyone has the same results, but I'm under the impression that most do.

Don't know. What I do know is you should avoid Meridian Ordnance. I hear they do nice work on kit builds but for my Saiga front end conversion they really did a crappy job. And they charged WAYYYYYYYYYYY more than they quoted me.
>that will cost you about $130 for labor. either send us the parts to put on, or we'll sell you what we have
>tell them to just use whatever they have in stock...doesn't have to be full on russian since I'm not that weird about it, just as long as it looks like standard parts.
>6 months later...your rifle is ready, that'll be $380
the sights are a bit canted and so is the gas block. the parts look like shit (like they were taken off of a rifle that was dragged down a paved road behind a truck for about a year)

Whats with Gunbroker's bullshit "reserve" thing. If I bid on an item at the starting price I should get it at that price, not have to randomly up bid hoping it surpasses the reserve, what a stupid system, it just allows sellers to sit on stuff that they're not going to sell for the advertised starting price.

Is there a way to avoid this or find out the reserve so I'm not just shooting in the dark?

Actually ebay does.

https://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/reserve.html
>>
>>35089842
>seller inputs the lowest price he would accept
Next you input the highest price you'd be willing to pay. If you exceed his reserve you bid amount will be equal to his reserve, thus the buyer and seller have reach a price agreement. There's no "shooting in the dark"
>>
Reserves are pretty gay tho, just start at the lowest you'll accept
>>
>>35089996
No. Setting a price like that assign a perceived value to the item that could influence potential bidding.
>>
>>35090033

I agree with you about common items like a mossberg, it's value is well established. You and the seller have already entered negotiations just by you being aware of his listing. Renter a bid slightly less than you can finding it for sale anywhere else, or wait and wager on finding a better deal in the future
>>
>>35090154
The one whos expecting people to put a ton of bids on an item thats 10% below MSRP and then snatching it out from under their nose when they don't get what they want and only the price it started at.
>>
>>35090159
>>35090167
Oh and likewise he can wager on finding a better buyer. Auctions are difficult to game unless the seller is ignorant of some information, but I get solid deals on great guns all the time if you're willing to mine the site
>>
>>35090213
It just makes me mad that I sit here and watch a good deal slip by me because theres literally no way to know how much I should bid and I'm not going to sit here and give them $20 more than the starting price on the hope that it meets reserve.

>>35087611
Mag wobble is inherent with most AKs. If it doesn't impede reliability, it's a non issue. It's annoying yes, but not a problem unless it messes with reliable feeding.
>>

Why not do it anyway then? If it doesn't meet the reserve, it's not like you've got to pay what the reserve price actually is.

that's the whole point of an auction though. The buyers decide what the market price is at that moment. If you don't want that, don't auction your shit. (((reserves))) are bullshit.

There are gun stores who literally list their entire inventory on GB, and set the reserve for everything at MSRP. It's cancer, and basically bypasses the whole point of the website.

Want a certain price for your item? It's called a MINIMUM BID.

Is there any websites that sell saiga front conversion kits or do i have to buy individual parts? Dont really care about making a clone or anything, I just want it to be a generally correct 74
>>
>>35094554
It bakelite, has some white stamping also. There were two that were in great shape, my autism caused me to get the better of the two
>>
>>35094537
I'd take your circle 10 blacks if you're not being Jewy on them, how much?
>>
Any traps gonna buy this?
https://www.amazon.com/Breathable-AK-47-Nutritional-Facts/dp/B01KNHYCRQ
>>
>>35094657
I'm confused. It says it's a thong, but has a picture of a full back and the nutritional facts label wouldn't be small enough for a thong back. For $10 I might buy one anyway and hope it's printed on the front.
>>
>>35094677
Yeah, it's just cheap shit. Please buy though and post pics.
>>
>>35094711

lel, I'm not a trap. My wife would be wearing them

>>
>>35094723
That's fine, just wash them a few times so she doesn't get a rash and remember to post pics, even if she's fat.

Sure, why not? I'll probably do over some of my hiking photos with that app to keep them somewhat fresh once the snow hits.

Is there anything like this for regular AK-74 pattern rifles? I know some VEPR's have something similar but I really dig the aesthetic on this SKS sporter stock.
>>
>>35094934
>>35094938
I came here asking what they go for, I don't understand how I got into this sticky sotuation.

Yeah, and I'd want wood covering the sides of the rifle. It's autistic but I think it would look nice.
>>
Can someone just tell me how much my mags go for? Fuckin' aye
>>
>>35095001
Super Vepr is what you want.
>>
>>35095014
No. This isn't a fucking appraisal service. The people that come here and start talking about prices almost always at least offer to sell shit here first, so you can rightfully fuck off.
>>
>>
>>35095194
Incase you missed the little fucking identity crisis that occurred, I never declined selling to anyone here, someone, likely an asshurt you, asked me how much I wanted for something I don't know the value of, and on top of that some clown wanted to play identity theif. So I hope you get kicked by a pack of nogs until you start seizing, you pompous faggot.
>>
>>35095194
>>35095296
See, really, I was just trying to mess with both of you.

But you should thank me for preventing you from selling your mags to this dickhead.

So is there any way to get a bigger mag on sks without milling the receiver or going crapco? Would it be possible to take an sks mag and weld an ak mag inside it?
>>
>>35095459
To clarify - I don't need it to be detachable.

Has anyone here used a PK-A red dot on a yugo AK? I'm looking at putting one on my M77 and wanna see how it sits on the yugo siderail before I buy one.
>>
>>35095459
Maybe you must just buy saiga sporter? Usually it's cheaper than sks and any conversion.
>>
>>35096324
Best I can help you.
>I have an RS Regulate on my OPAP, highly recommend it.
Perhaps you can use a RS and a picatinny version?

>>35096408
A bit further down there was a post where a guy mounted a PK-01, and it looks like the only issue there is how far have it sits. Seems like I can get an AK mount PK-A and an SVD clamp from kalinka and use those.
