This + all PA Luty's and Professor Parabellums.

Need to get Gerard Metral's, Ronald Browns, Holmes Vol.4 and Donald McLeans. Any other recommendations?

PS I'm a Britfag so I think I'm doing fairly alright hahaha

what's in the 'Machine gun' one?
please?
>>
>>35076853
Punishable by up to 5 years in prison so nah m8. That said, I do have a full workshop and do collect milsurp and empty casings so if anyone ever turns up at my door they'll fuck me for intent to manufacture like. A copy of Benson's Modern Weapons Caching on my bookshelf probably won't help.
>>
>>35076855
George M Chinn's The Machine Gun Vol 4. Rather than pay £300+ for an original, and given I hate reading on screen I paid £14 to get the first third printed. It's all about the mathematics of blowback. Google it and all the pdf's are in the first link on milsurp net. I'm gonn aprint the second third which is diagrams of how various mechanisms work and the last third is just an index which I may print.

What has happened to Professor Parabellum anyway? And any good books I'm missing out on?
>>
>>35077053
What do you mean what happened to him?
>>
>>35077108
As far as I can find, he hasn't posted a book in a while. Most recent I have is like some second revolver book I think?
>>
>>35077164
>As far as I can find, he hasn't posted a book in a while.
Well, what's a while?

He's probably just got shit to do, like living a life.
>>
>>35077210
3 months. True, but after 15/16 pdfs fairly regularly, you sort of miss him.
>>
>>35076846
And correction, need to get Holmes V, not IV, about the AR15/M16 though I'll probs just fix the pdf I have and get it printed.
>>
>>35077218
>3 months.
Three months is sweet fuck all.
>>
>>35077235
For my fix of homemade guns it is :( Especially when my collection is nearly complete, I have the named books in pdf but not on paper.

Sounds like you have a hoarding problem.
>>
>>35077261
I do. Only with firearms though. Love it. Those books are pushing £200-£250 which I can't really afford haha. But I love the knowledge.
>>
>>35077270
Like I'm a student mechanical engineer who loves anything that goes boom, firearms, engines, HMTD, TATP...
>>
I just have a copy of System Mauser.
>>
>>35077282
Looks interesting - and expensive. Is it just pictures of the outside or does it get in depth regarding the operation.

And does anyone know if Holmes' Building a Bolt Action Rifle is worth it?

This is probably 40%-50% of them, I moved to this house in March and a lot off books are still packed up in boxes because I didn't keep some bookshelves in the move and haven't bought more to replace them. There's a reason why these ones are the ones out on the shelf though, they're the ones I find the most interesting
>>
>>35077592
Any books about the actual mechanics of firearms? Seems you have an interest in US civil war and Russian conflicts? Why the Russian side?

My collection of books like that ranges from Cornwell's Sharpe series to books like Macy's Apache and Hellfire. Mainly focussing on WW2, Falklans, Afghanistan, NI Troubles. Some on Burma and Saigon. Loads of books about the SAS and foreign special forces but it's been years since I've read them.

>Any books about the actual mechanics of firearms?
Not really, the guns Im interested in I own and know. Most of the firearm specific books I've got are for identifying different variations, learning the different variations, and collecting collecting the different variations
>Seems you have an interest in US civil war and Russian conflicts?
I like modern Russian conflicts, from Afghanistan to present (basically anything post AK74 adoption) and I'm still fairly young in my learning of the US Civil War. I've got a lot of WWII books on the other side of the book shelf and still packed away but I've only out the most interesting ones on the other bookshelf. My biggest interest is in South African military history, I've got another box of just SA books but the ones on the shelf are the ones I like the most so they get the spotlight, this pic is all just South African stuff
>Why the Russian side?
Cuz I'm a slavaboo and have a raging erection for slavshit

I recently picked up a couple of books on the Falklans War from a local thrift shop, do you have any recommendations of good books on the topic? The only one I've read is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Harrier-Falklands-Cassell-Military-Paperbacks/dp/0304355429 and although it was really cool I want more
>>
>>35077740
That depends , what is your opinion on the islands?
>>
>>35077917
The Falklands are and will forever be British, Argies who say otherwise can get fucked
>>
>>35077384
It's pictures, essentially. It's an attempt to catalogue all the different variants of the c96.
>>
>>35077740
"Spearhead Assault" by John Geddes is the only real just Falklands book I have but it's a cracker. All about how 400 of 2nd Batt, Para, were given false intelligence and walking into a battle with 1500 Agentines - the Battle of Goose Green. Most of the other stuff comes from general modern conflict books.
>>
>>35077740
That book looks quite interesting, but if I had to go with aircraft of the time I'd go with a book on the Vulcan bomber and it's initial bombing runs to damage the runways. Love watching the documentaries about it.
>>
>>35077740
If you want a real book recommendation, "The World at Arms", which is essentially a WW2 encyclopedia. Got it for £0.50 at a church auction. It is bloody amazing. Super indepth though, so it's not like a read the whole book thing, but just when you're interested reference the desired area.
>>
>>35076846
Did to expand that collection homie. Need more expedient firearms manufacture and some suppressor books. Also, get some Kurt Saxon books, senpai

Kurt Saxon? ie the Poor Mans James Bond, Have them all on pdf, didn;t really rate compared to Ragnar Bensons books on mortars, claymores, flamethrowers etc. Have most of the suppressor books on pdf. Might buy Holmes in print if I can find it, or Haydukes or the other fellas. Expedient manufacture? How can it get more expedient that Luty or Prof Parabellum or Metral!? Who am I missing out on!? I have all of Lutys printed in a folder, even the 9mm MP, BSP SMG, .32 S/A, .22 silenced, 12G pistol and both homemade ammo books.

Get yourself "The Remington M870 and M1100/M11-87 Shotguns: A Shop Manual" by Jerry Kuhnhausen

You can pretty much use it as a guide to make you semi auto shotty into full. It's just the trigger assembly.
>>
>>35081466
Semi's are pretty much capped at 2+1 in the chamber here, though I did participate in a NTSA competition that was 6+! which for Britfag standards is awesome. That sounds cool, is it like the Glock Exotic Weapons Book that describes the manufacture of a full auto sear you can put in?
>>
>>35081425
What about those books is white trash?

Don't worry about how many you have, I only have 1, "Military Small Arms of the 20th Century".

Same author as Guns and How They Work in my picture. Was going to buy it, but wasn't sure based on reviews. Good book?

>>35082755
Fuck it, I've bought it already ahah.
>>
At the risk of things turning /pol/ who else here has actually read "The Turner Diaries." I thought it was kind of interesting the way they showed things escalating, ignoring how weird the author got with the white supremacy aspect.
