Early 30s ausfag here. Own my own home with cash invested too. 15k liquid in bank and credit card with 0 balance and 10k limit. Economic crisis is lower risk. Small amount of cash on hand, say 500 bucks.

No tropical weather. House solid brick raised 1 metre. No flood risk. Weather between 0 and 40 degrees c. Dont use or need heating or cooling. Environmental low concern. In a large rural coastal town. Bushfire is minimal threat. Most expensive thing in our house is our matress, nothing sentimental that i wouldnt walk away from without a second thought.

Got a .22, air rifle and over/under 12 gauge. Hunt a bit but find it hard to think i would have to do that seriously. Would like to store more ammo.

3 dogs for security would be handy id imagine

Have water tank (15000litres) , 9 egg producing chickens, vegie patch, fruit trees. Not enough to sustain us but it helps.

Wife cooks all meals from scratch and we try and be as frugal as possible so have a good pantry of shelf stable foods.

Have bikes and a large family connection nearby. Connected to neighbours and community through our kids mainly.

I guess i look at that as prep over hoarding mres and buying water filtration pumps. If shtf i guess it will just be the family coming together. If we need to leave town we would head to the family farm about 20kms away.

I am at work, I have a xdm with 2 mags. If my car is working then I will use that and if not I am taking a propane powered forklift. I have a bug out bag in my car ment to just get me home. I work about 19 miles from home. First priority is grab my daughter from daycare. Daycare is about 8 miles from work. I pray this doesn't happen.
