L M A O
>>
what did he mean by this?
>>
>>35070992
The colored frame Glocks actually don't have it. I have a gray frame G17 and G26, and neither has pignose.
>>
>>35071439
this just opens up a bigger can of worms
>>
OP, that'll be addressed in gen7's
>>
>buying a glock in the first place
>>
My USA Made G23 doesnt have pignose at all. The (nickel, or something) finish is chipping off of the frame rails, though. Apparently thats pretty common but upsetting to have happen within 500 rounds.

Gun has been 100% with no signs of hiccups at all.

My biggest concern is if the Gen 5's have fixed the absolute shit-tier finish on the latest Gen 4s. It literally looks and protects like flat spray paint - ive seen a bunch of scratched slides on new guns sitting in the case.

The finish is supposed to be a lot better but I dont think anything can touch the "teflon pan" finish of the Gen 3s and early Gen 4s.

Why did glock cuck their own finish

If you fags would just get Sigs, all of your issues would be alleviated. Plus, look at those /aesthetics/.

or the brass to face

>cant fix pig nose
>no optional safety model(this one may just be me)
>marginally improved ergos instead of actually applying themselves
>still have to pull trigger for disassembly
>still fiddling with things that worked fine in the first place, clearly didn't learn lessons from gen 4
will glock literally never evolve as a company? It's like they take every engineer with an inkling of vision out back and, well, glock him...
>>
>>35072008
That's even more reason not to buy one.

This has been the running theory from Glock fanboys and armorers but Glock hasn't stated anything "officially". Others have completely btfo the EPA theory saying that other, similar finishes are available from many sources (melonite being one of them).

The finish has gone through a few revisions over the years but nothing they have ever made was as bad as the current Gen 4 finish.

There have been tons of complaints about scratching and rust. The change happened during the rush after Sandy Hook.

My personal thoughts are that Glock cut corners to get product out as fast and cheap as possible. Once they realized they could get away with saving a few bucks on the finish, they just stuck with it.

They have told everyone that calls and complains that they don't receive any complaints about the finish and that, regardless of appearance, it is just as durable as previous versions.

I'm not a huge Glock fan but, being in Maryland, it made sense to pick one up before all the new retard laws took effect back in 2013.
>>
>>35071439
I have a black gen 4 with like 7 or 8k through it and no pig nose. It doesn't even matter though since if it hapens you can just use a heat gun or put a light on it and dump a few mags and it'll fix itself permanently.

Are you saying you don't clear your weapons before performing maintainence?
>>

This oversight blows my mind.
They got accepted for the contract with that trigger in place like what in the fuck.

It was never an issue in the military guns. They fixed it already but didn't bother to do the same for civilian guns.
>>
>>35072927
That makes a hell of a lot of sense then. I hear they're rolling out the new 'apex triggers' and offering free replacements for every one.
>>
>>35072927
>>35072936

The military testing wouldn't have picked it up anyway, it's basic as shit.

I read about this. I didn't see any video. Is this a legit real thing?
>>
>>35072899
>>35072927

The issue wasn't/isn't with the trigger. It's with the striker retainment. I'm skeptical of sig's claim that it was never a problem on the military version because they denied it was a problem when the story first broke on the civilian guns. My guess is they just said everything is fine with the MHS and will probably either fix it quietly now (the smart thing to do, especially since civilians don't have access to them and can't prove if they're lying or not) or insist it was always safe and pass it off (the retarded thing to do). They have relatively little to lose by fixing the MHS, but then again, they aren't technically required by the government to make it drop safe, since the government's definition of "drop safe" doesn't cover the angle that sets sigs off.

>>35076510
No, it's all CGI by jealous glockfags. Sig makes great guns. *Yawn* I sure am tired. Time for bed, guys.

That would objectively be wrong, it is a fact that colored glock frames are weaker than regular black frames. Google it. Liar.

Bore axis meme. Implying you'll ever be a good enough shot for it to matter. It worked for the seals, actual operators didn't seem to mind your meme for the longest.

Do you know what "objectivity" means? It means you need to check your inflammatory emotions at the door.

You need to pray more.
