Is there a difference using an airsoft for target practice ? I am only asking for pistol.

It's not as accurate as an actual pistol, doesn't teach you to avoid anticipating recoil, and doesn't teach you recoil control. Just get a .22 pistol or something, at least it will be appropriately accurate.

drawing from holster, etc. then sure. you can use any training gun replica for that.

Airsoft is ok for practicing draws and great for doing room clearing drills around your house(get those cheap sticky targets).
Otherwise no.
