Californian Starting an Ammo stockpile before 2018 hits.

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

What are some types of ammo I should stock up on? Planning on getting as much .22, .223, 5.56, and 12 gauge before the state decides to cut off the gun market's fingers again.

Is .308 worth the price and the hassle to stock up on?

Also, stockpile thread.

Good, because living in california is not at all conducive to being a gun owner.
Either move or enjoy having your balls stomped on by increasingly strict laws every year or two.
Every year in california is as good as it's going to get for gun laws, because it'll continually, and assuredly, be worse next year.

More like "you can't be carrying this shit around in your pants pockets or when it rains you'll burn yourself, gas yourself in your sleeping bag, etc". Don't even have to do that, just order ammo online and have it delivered to a UPS store in AZ/NV/OR, then take a day trip to go pick it up. People at UPS store don't know or care if you have a house in their state where buying online is legal, and CA DOJ doesn't have the resources or ability to watch every store or look into people's financials.

If you're buying pallets of ammo at a time every month the ATF will likely come poking around though.

Buy ammo for the guns you actually have or plan to get in the near future. It isn't rocket science.
Crunch some numbers and take into account how often you shoot, how much you shoot, and for how many years you want to shoot. That will be your stockpile number. You can also get in to reloading, or move, or both desu.

I'm stuck here for a few more years but when I'm able to I'm out of here.

Not everyone is dumb enough to think tin foil is useless. It actually can be used to make a faraday cage.

Ammunition components are illegal to possess by anyone the state says can't possess guns and ammo (nuts and felons). It's completely unrelated.
>>
>>35068168
Odds are that most online retailers won't ship to C&R/COE holders, though. It'll be a pain in the ass, and the reason you're ordering online is the low margins, which quickly makes any sort of difficulty for the seller turn the transaction uneconomical.

Once again, I hate this law, gathering info on citizens who have not committed a crime is BS, however just like how Californians are limited to buying one handgun a month and it's registered, it hasn't scared me or millions of other Californians from buying handguns. You are only legally allowed to bring ammo into california if you can prove the following:
-you bought the ammo for use during a hunting trip outside CA
-you used some of the ammo during the hunt
-you are bringing back no more than one partial box of ammo or no more than 50 rounds
-you have proof of purchase inside CA of any other ammo you are also in possession of
-you are in possession of a firearm that fires that ammo.
