Kek. Seriously though, I heard there's a bunch of internal changes to the gun. It won't get me to buy one over the M&P but, I'm looking forward to trying one out.

They failed to dramatically improve upon the pistol in ways that many people expected. For instance, didn't a lot of people want the ability to change out the front straps as well as the backstraps of the gun? Or raised sights for silencers and red dots? Or factory threaded barrels? Ambidextrous magazine release?
>>
>>35049219
No RMR cut on the base version and no ambi mag release.

Come the fuck on Glock.

They couldn't do that without fucking with the rail though.
>>
The problem is the internet is full of people that make a big deal out of things they will never use

>muh no RMR cut
no one cares
>muh no ambi release
you can flip it, and pretty much no one cares
>muh no suppressor sights or threaded barrel
the vast majority of people have no interest in dealing with NFA paperwork
>muh no front slide serrations
no one cares

If they released a tactical model with the rmr/supressor stuff then people wouldn't complain as much I imagine.

Glocks are bought by PD's and other agencys as duty weapons, or buy consumers looking for a plain, reliable weapon. If you want a race gun, then look somewhere else.
>>
>>35050292
>For instance, didn't a lot of people want the ability to change out the front straps as well as the backstraps of the gun?

This is literally the first time I've ever heard someone ask for this.

>Or raised sights for silencers and red dots? Or factory threaded barrels?

Literally all done by aftermarket. There's no point. I don't even like that they put in a factory mag flare.

>Ambidextrous magazine release?
They already have these since gen 4
>>
>>35050388
>RMR cut

red dots on pistols will absolutely be the way of the future, and many people are getting into that market. If Glock adapted their pistols to natively accept mounted sights, both Glock and the various sight manufacturers would benefit

>no ambi release
Yeah, you can flip it on a lot of guns, but while left handed shooters expect to be on the short end of the stick, having an ambi release is a feature that isn't that fucking hard to engineer after 5 generations

>no suppressor sights or threaded barrel
And what will you say when silencers are taken off of the NFA? It's going to happen, and if it happens soon, Ruger will sell out of all of their natively threaded .22 pistols just because they were prepared for it

>no front slide serrations
People care, a lot of people care, including the police officers that you mentioned

pistol mounted reddots will be the way of the future but the rmr cut is the equivalent of the usp rail. something shitty that happened before everyone standardized.

>red dots on pistols will absolutely be the way of the future, and many people are getting into that market. If Glock adapted their pistols to natively accept mounted sights, both Glock and the various sight manufacturers would benefit

Find me some base models of other pistols that come with factor RMR cuts.

Glock has no benefit to do this, they have to change their tooling and add production steps so that maybe a handful of people out of 100 want to put a red dot on? Production costs will increase as well as cost to the consumer for something that will not be used by the vast majority. If entire police departments start issuing pistols with RMR's, than I'll go along with the way of the future shit.

>Yeah, you can flip it on a lot of guns, but while left handed shooters expect to be on the short end of the stick, having an ambi release is a feature that isn't that fucking hard to engineer after 5 generations

You can flip in on the gen 4 and 5, its a non issue, I'm left handed, you either flip it or just use your middle finger.

>And what will you say when silencers are taken off of the NFA? It's going to happen, and if it happens soon, Ruger will sell out of all of their natively threaded .22 pistols just because they were prepared for it

I applaud you for your optimism.

Threaded barrels and higher sights make it harder to conceal and carry which applies to more people than suppressor owners.

>People care, a lot of people care, including the police officers that you mentioned
If police officers don't know if their weapon is loaded or not, then they should go back to academy.

The aftermarket has solutions to these issues, Glock doesn't lose anything by not doing it. The whole still using plastic sights is fucking retarded though.

It would make more sense for glock to make a tactical model with stuff like rmr cuts, threaded barrels, raised sights and front slide serrations.
>>

Literally name ONE (1) use for front slide serrations. Keep in mind that glocks have a tactile loaded chamber indicator, making press checks pointless.
>>

Nobody cared about front serrations until a decade ago. No auto pistol had front serrations since the 1890s and you never heard anybody call for it.

Suddenly EVERY pistol needs front serrations or it's shit. It's just tacticool marketing gimmicks.
>>
>5th generation

Sad.
>>
>>35050737
front serrations allow for more leverage, or more grip surface area, when racking the slide.
>>

ejection is garbage, gun is garbage gen 3 still master race
>>
>>35050777

there's ways to straighten it if you just have crippling autism and just can't handle it

that said, my 19 doesn't really even have it
>>
>>35051086
People like you will always have an issue with Glock in the same way CNN will always have an issue with Trump. It's part of Glock's tradition to fuck with your autism over an irrelevant detail and for us to identify the insufferable faggots like you. Secondly, you could even say that it helps handgun lights "zero" to POI sightly better. Third, Boof reported that he heard it was an agency requirement to have the gun fit into eye sockets, though the truth to such a claim is pretty dubious.

That's the biggest fail IMHO. I like to shoot ambi, and the mag release sucks for that. YEs you can reverse it, but not on the fly.

Not true ambi, just reversable.
>>
>>35050976

>>
>>35052494
Reversible is ambi. If you mean a button on either side, that's shit. It just increases the odds of dropping a mag accidentally.

There's no such thing as an exciting or interesting non-custom production handgun.

I'm thinking about picking one up because I'm a filthy lefty and I'm digging the anni slide release. I have a VP9 and a 1911 so I figured a G19 would be nice for concealed carry. Anyone have a rough estimate how much the blue label price would be?
