Do you want to retain your anal virginity?

If you want constant disapointment and want to develop alcoholism then sure.

I'm watching this thread since I also have considered trying for OCS and nuke school before I get too old.
I wouldnt mine some alcoholism
>>35044360
Holy fuck dont even think about going nuke. Its worse thay scapism
>>35044422
I thought it was only unbearably bad for enlisted.
>>35044430
Na being a nuke is fucking awful for everyone involved. Im on a submarine so my view might be skewed but officers are constantly
>>35044512
Really? Some guy at my work told me his brother is a nuke, and all they do is play vidya. I don't know if he's on a fast attack sub, though.
do navy just sit around and do random shit untill they find out that they are about to hit something like another ship?
>>35044532
Im on a boomer and its nothing but misery for the nukes. Being a coner is the bees knees. Especially an FT or STS
>>35044561
The sub fleet normaly shoots tomahawks. We try not to have any interaction with other ships.
anyone here a seabee? how do you like it?

Former E-5 here, this man is correct. I was a rare person, I actually liked my job (GM2, ship's armorer - I spent 80% of my work day locked in the armory doing shit with small arms by myself with music playing on my laptop) and I still developed the Navy-issue drinking problem and wanted to get the fuck out after 4 years. Most of my shipmates in other rates were beyond miserable; one actually attempted suicide and another threatened it until he was separated.

Your actual daily routine depends mostly on your rate but will primarily consist of some sort of maintenance work. Even out at sea, you keep pretty busy during the day, and most nights (from 4-5 PM onward) are playing console games or watching movies and shit. At least on a surface ship, subs may be entirely different, I don't know. Most of my free time was spent playing SOCOM and Unreal Tournament '99 in the armory.

>complaining about getting paid by the government to play vidya and watch movies
