Get a Glock.

The CZ 75 SP-01 is way too big and heavy to carry. You will only use it at the range. The USP45 is light enough to carry, but very large and will probably be too big for your hands (despite your confidence that you are "tall enough for it"), resulting in you not being able to shoot it well. Neither is very practical.

A Glock (literally any of them) will be light enough to carry, but not so light that recoil is an issue at the range. The triggers on the Gen 4's are pretty consistent, and the guns are reliable, durable, and just hard to do anything wrong to.

I bought a CZ 75 Sp-01 shadow last week. I own 2 glocks, a USP 45 and a beretta 92fs. Of all the pistols i own, im in fking love with the sp-01. Yes, its a heavy pistol. But the grip, look and feel of the thing is amazing. Trigger is crisp as fuck. Accuracy is great. You'll fall in love with it. And if you do, you wont mind carrying it, even though its heavy.

The USP was one of the first guns designed around (not upscale to,) the 40 S&W. That being said, the 45 is significantly more common and popular, so there's that. The HK45 is the next step in the evolution of the HK 45 line and is more ergonomic for a lack of better words. All feature dual recoil springs, which means the 45's felt recoil is significantly reduced. The Mark 23 is kind of the progenitor of them all, is big as fuck, heavy as fuck, and also awesome as fuck. If you get the Mark 23, you can skip all the others but not vice versa. That's just my opinion, though.

The CZs have meh tier fit and finish. But the SP01 are still fine guns.

USP are pretty god tier,I was skeptical at first but once I start using my expert it was pretty clear to me that the USP series are a excellent platform.

The grip on the sp01 are much better than the USP. I would go with the USP but then again I am biased

I have a usp 45 compact and a cz p-01. Both little brothers of your 2 guns.

The factory da/sa on the usp is up there in pounds, especially the da which feels like 8-9 lbs, but cleaner. Good reset.
Factory da/sa in p-01 is a bit lower in lbs, but the trigger was gritty towards the end and reset is not as good (the trigger resets far). Trigger smooths out a bit after use.

The usp flips noticeably more, then again it's .45 vs 9, but the cz slide sits down into the reciever. And the glock 30 in .45 doesnt muzzle flip like the uspc, so take that for what you will.

As for getting the guns modded, I dropped in cajun gun works hammer, 15# main spring, extended firing pin to compensate, and a trigger reset spring. The trigger is now smooth as fuck, lighter but not too light for defensive, and theres a clean noticeable break.
havent done any internal work on the HK but it seems to be on the pricier side.

Just hunt gunbroker for a used USP, the things are built like tanks and you can find one for $200-300 less than new prices. And buy an SP01 as well.

I have never used a USP but I have the same CZ you're looking at.
I love it and there is very good aftermarket for it too.
Don't know about USP.
But keep your feedramp clean and don't trust your life to cheap ammo if it's dirty.
The ergos are unbeatable IMO and the low barrel is very nice.
USP is prolly a better "duty gun" but if you're a good owner, it will make no difference.

The HK isn't laser etched so it'll look extra sexy filling it in with red and the rest with white if you want. If you don't like the DA/SA or it having a safety you can change all that. How many mags are coming with it? HK mags are kinda pricy but thats common for most guns

oh shit also ask how many rounds have been through it, at 20k you should change the recoil spring but uhhhh I never have and I haven't had a problem oops lmao. they should be fairly cheap to change out, I would when you buy it, may have to break the new spring in with hotter ammo but it should run everything but lead reloads because of the barrel. Ask are all the parts stock and what Variant the gun is ie V1 is decocker and safety, V2 is that but left handed, V3 is decock only etc etc

I was in this same position not too long ago, my friend was selling his USP 45 for $1,000 with 4 mags and installed match trigger and night sights. He said he would sell it to me for $800. Meanwhile my other friend's dad was selling his CZ-75 SP-01 and said he would sell it to me for $500. It was a hard decision but I ended up going with the USP. I might get the CZ if he still has it in the future but I'm starting an AR-15 soon.
