if you're in Ontario, for example, it's a non-issue; CFO follows letter of the law without interpreting it. all you need is a valid RPAL and valid reason (same as for wanting the RPAL, naturally, so either sports/target shooting or collecting) and you will have the transfer approved

in other provinces, CFOs can and do get creative with reading the law, some will put it this way: if your license isn't a "collector" kind and you want a firearm that you can only shoot at the range, show me your range membership to prove your reason for wanting it is valid

so i submitted my PAL paperwork and my registered mail arrived Wednesday. during my excitement at the post office i spagettied hard with the cute teller and accidentally included the form instruction sheets with the actual form (rcmp will now think i'm a retard).

a few questions:

1. how long does it take to appear online? (i tried logging in but it keeps spitting out an error saying they have no info)

2. for the signed photo the instructions said to print out the little slip and 'stick it' to the back of the photo. so I had my guarantor sign that slip and i taped it. will that be acceptable?

3. I have no paperwork for my CFSC, only my card that says i passed the exam with some certificate number so i photocopied that along with my CRFSC exam results. that should be good right?
