You won't find the same level of experience besides US army/USMC for expeditionary warfare or playing outside of their home turf.

Whilst light on heavy kit compared to other land powers, they have significant logistical legs to support them.

Well that's just bullshit. England/Britain was never very innovative or extraordinary with their army (because it's on a fucking island, duh) but mostly pretty solid. British infantry was actually pretty good on the lower level in WW2, it's the operational art and various innovations in combined arms where they lagged behind.

canada australia and nz have no military history prior to 1914
US has the biggest army in the world and it is great in conventional warfare but it sucks in counter insurgency

the true great countries with richest military history and best soldiers are imo french and brits after them US russia
germany had great tactics but lost in ww2 and ww1 and didnt exist as a unified country most of history

best in defensive wars are afganistan vietnam
they defeated opponents much stronger than them many times
also israel who managed to defend against much greater odds a lot of times but they also existed as a country only for some 70 years

The BRITISH army is widely considered one of the best land forces in terms of training and professionalism. British soldiers in one form or another have been fighting and dying abroad every year for over 150 years bar about 3 or 4 years. Almost every special forces unit around the world is based upon the SAS, and dozens of countries send their best officers to train at Sandhurst every year. Despite having a small army, the UK is still one of the major players in NATO and the UN. Any deniers are either butthurt huns or assblasted former colonies.

This. When WWI started the Brits had a lot of very experienced vets from Imperial excursions. They just didn't have the million+ nationalized army like some of the other forces did.
