>in b4 generals are always shit.
Got a Butler Creek side folding stock for my H&R PPP. Can't decide if I like the way it looks or not. Quality isn't fantastic but it feels sturdy enough. No gaps where it mates with the receiver but the is a bit proud of the right side while the left is flush.

Couple of questions:
1) the stock doesn't line up perfectly with the centerline, its left of it. Think it will change the recoil noticeably?

2) I kinda want to get a smaller foregrip for aesthetics, what do you all recommend?

How you liking dat single 3 round mag, when you're u getting more?

Is it some sorta blowback or what?
>>
>>35037174
Came with 2 3rd mags. You can modify the followers to allow a 4th round. Bought 2 5rd mags which they've begun importing. Putting a 3rd mag follower in a 5rd mag allows it to hold 6 rds. Putting a MODIFIED 3rd mag follower in allows them to hold 7rds.

7rds is pretty respectable IMHO.

Plus I got lucky and got one that reliably cycles anything I feed it. A lot of folks are having issues with only being able to use High Brass loads, and some guys cant even get it to cycle those reliably.

Not bad for $140, no complaints.

My Yildiz, surprisingly nice considering it was sub-$200 turkshit. I got a bad arm bruise from shooting a couple boxes of 3 inch magnum buckshot.

I might sell it, it mainly takes up space since I have my Benelli Supernova I primarily shoot. The trigger is fucking abysmal, and the damn thing weighs so little that to comfortably shoot it you're relegated to using low brass and game loads. I'm wondering if a rubber bitch pad would help at all.
>>
>>35036569
I think it looks fine as is, kind of like something a prison warden would have in the 60s-70s. I'd throw on a sling and a heat shield to balance it out a bit more if I was to do anything.

But this isn't a general, it's just a shotgun thread. Big difference.

A general is a constantly appearing thread that has a new one created as soon as or soon after the bump limit has been reached. It is usually full of tripfags or anons adopting personalities close to tripfaggotry, and WITHOUT EXCEPTION is without value. All generals are cancer. Some are just less cancerous than others.

That's why all generals should be b& like /a/ did.

Because most of the mounts look like shit, so I know what people with actual experience with them think.
>>
>>35039543
My suggestion is get a magazine tube extension from nordic and get one of their barrel clamps with a 1913 rail on it. you can mount your light to the side and have it right at the muzzle, plus you get like 3 rounds extra capacity

I bought it for like $175 with a field barrel, but decided to sell the barrel for $100 and buy another 28" with a bulge near the choke, and cut it to 20". I only got $110 in it, but there isn't much interesting to do with it.

I'd rather have a 8 shot 20" with the flush mag tube or something like 590a1 xs 20".

>sling stud on the pistol grip portion of the stack

Is that wise?
>>
>>35039978
Because I got a 500 used for $195 and it works just fine.
>>
>>35036569
I used to have that same BC folder on my maverick88. Thing added way too much weight to the gun. After trying several aftermarket stocks I ended up sticking the one it came with back on. It was lightweight and was the most comfortable to shoot.

I tried putting a bunch of shit on that gun and the only things I ended up keeping on it was a side saddle, a sling, and a flashlight.

This stock and a heatshield were probably the dumbest things I tried.

It's a 1987 police trade in with the factory walnut, if there was going to be problems it would've happened by now.

The bottom of the wrist is the thickest and flattest part of the stock, on the back it is thinner, so if you hit the sling swivel in a particularly way back there it could break the stud out the side of the stock where on the wrist it wouldn't break.
Pretty much all regular magnums/police mags have them on the rear of the stock. I don't see any repairs on the rear so it might have came from the factory at the wrist, the stock is both serialized (8 digits unrelated to receiver serial though oddly) and has a rack number, it might have been a department specific request idk.

>>35040228
Surefire makes ones for the 500/590.

>>35039603
Yeah I was looking at the nordic ones last night, either that, one of the elzetta ones, or getting a forend I can put a rail on is the choice I need to make right now.

Not at all. But shooting a shotgun is different than shooting a rifle. A rifle will learn you the basics better, but that doesn't mean you can't start on a shotgun. Just keep in mind you'll have to learn to use a rifle when you get one, it wont be exactly the same.

Turned 18 a few days ago and decided I'd buy a gun to celebrate, I found a 1913 Winchester Model 1897, all matching numbers, in a pawn shop in decent condition for 270, I bought it on the spot because I've always wanted one and said that I'd get one if I ever found any around here. Unfortunately, while the receiver and external barrel looks good, the bore itself is a 50/50 on whether it's safe to fire or not due to pitting, but my gunsmith says he can get me a new one for 50-100 bucks. How'd I do for my first gun purchase?

No pics unfortunately as I took it straight from the pawn shop to the gunsmith as he wanted to work on it ASAP (and I wanted to make sure it was safe and ready to fire ASAP) but I should be able to get some this weekend.

Should I buy a Browning BPS in near-perfect condition for $250?
