I recently shot a 92sf and was shocked at how soft and flat shooting it was.
I had always looked down on them as being owned by ex army grunts who couldn't let go. Those are the only people I ever saw with one.

So, I'm thinking about buying one.

Any tips on stainless or frame safeties?
Is it best to just get a basic 92sf?
Etc...
>>
were you rejected from the military or police academy?

Get a G model, because you WILL accidental engage the safety otherwise.

seeing as the most popular pistol caliber over there is .32, 9mm is enough to kill an iraqi. I talked to a counter intel officer who said he killed a iraqi in 2003 with a m9. made him a huge m9 fanboy.
>>
>>35028950
Maybe it was because the mechanism had smoothed with use but the 92fs I tested at my range had one of the smoothest, lightest double/single triggers I've ever felt. Even better than a sig, much lighter at the "breaking" point

Essentially zero recoil - I'm pretty inexperienced but the sights stayed on target throughout the cycling operation. I could make quadruple taps and it'd stay within a 3 inch square if my trigger finger was fast enough.

The mag release, slide release we're very easy to engage, the slide release wasn't overly stiff like a ppq i shot. Ergonomics we're fucking wonderful - the thick grip filled my perfectly and the grip angle was very natural. 3 dot sights were really good, easy to quickly align and the front post wasn't so thin like an Hk.

Couple that with beautiful aesthetics, excellent reliability, and you've got one of my favorite shooting experience evar!

M9's are one of the most proven, durable and reliable service pistols in the world. And yes, they are amazingly shootable guns.

>Ernest Langdon
>Les Pepperoni
>Ben Stoeger
>Bill Wilson
>Dave Harrington

All these people shoot M9's with a high level of skill. It's quite baffling how people have this negative outlook towards the M9 when it's so undeserving of.

It's just theatrics. Plenty of 80's movies showed this with John Woo's films being one of the more promient examples.

My buddy was attached to sf on deployment as a combat medic. He told me this story
>get into firefight with taliban
>call in indirect fire or air support or something
>go in to clear the area
>see afghanis all fucked up missing limbs
>one dude is still alive, but his legs are blown off and he has shrapnel wounds to the chest
>my buddy goes up to him and looks at his squad leader "he's not gonna make it"
>squad leader says "fuck it I haven't gotten an m9 kill yet"
>pulls out his sidearm and shoots the Afghani in the head

Get an m9

First gun I ever bought, I've shot it the most out of all my firearms, I've never once "accidental engage" the safety.
You legitimately have to be disabled to accidentally engage the safety on any model of Beretta pistol.

I finally got around to watching Die Hard 4 on HBO the other night. Sad that McClane ditched his Beretta and moved to a Sig P220, but it reflected the NYPD's move to the new sidearm.

M9s have always been a favorite of mine, after my uncle let me shoot his I've always thought quite highly of them. The only thing holding me back from getting one the second I turn 21 is after renting an FNX I've totally fallen in love with it. I hope to someday own both

Hong Kong movies feature the PT92 probably more often than the M92. Just saying.
>>
>>35029082
Duh. Its also not a 8 round limit having 1911. 20 round mags fit flush and it'll run +p like it's cool.
>>
>>35031437
>Also faggot how do you forgot John McClaine and Martin Riggs both carried them.
They carried the M92 because a few years before, the Army adopted it as new sidearm, which made the M92 incredibly popular. It's like every 1990+ movie features Glocks and P226. Now, many movies will start to feature the P320.
