I got drunk with my retiring boss last night. I woke up drunk and have been browsing /k/ for two hours to sober up before going in.

Life's been good. I get to shoot on the regular, at least twice a month, if not once a week, and I just got into USPSA, did pretty well my first time out.

Doctors appointment in an few hours, then going in to work for a few hours, then it’s 4 day weekend with a family reunion. Probably gonna be a big family shooting thing on Saturday, can’t wait.

It was standard "get drunk with people higher ranked than you and listen to them bitch while carefully trying to pick out what direction the company/market is headed in so you know what to gitgud at for future job security" shit. Mostly these aren't the sort of people I would have much non-work-related in common with, but when the opportunity comes up one must make social face. I believe the nips call it salaryman or kyariaūman, business-obligated drinking, though apparently they do it daily which sounds fucking awful DESU.

I did also make plans to go to the range near work with some coworkers next week on our lunch break.

I've been lubing up my lebel and M.95 while looking at porn of Sable from Animal Crossing while having Boards of Canada play in the background. All in all pretty comfy.

Went to work at 2300 last night, pounded a monster to get through to 0700, went to wally world to get my last money order for my rent and came home to sit down for some vidya and beer. Here I am 8 beers in, and just enjoying my time while the roommate works his first shift job.

Just picked up a plot of land at about 2.5 acres leading into woods behind it. Woods is actually pretty vast, I believe it's basically no-man's land with how untamed it is.

Gonna be looking for a decent spot to set up a small range, probably handgun or .22lr only. Got neighbors relatively close, but thinking trees and foliage should block a lot of the noise. Also contemplating building a little four-sided booth with a window and insulation to additionally cut down on the noise.

I'm all about that courtesy.
