Do you need any infantry experience to apply to a SWAT team? I always thought anyone with enough years as a patrolman and a recommendation could apply.

Heard LAPD is mostly all ex-military guys. NYPD ESU has people from it seems different backgrounds. Think a lot depends what kind of city/county you work in. pic semi related
