fake news
Just so confused. In order to hunt I need a core and a pal. Is the cfsc included in the pal or what?
>>35018060
cfsc = Canadian Firearms Safety Course
PAL = Possession and Acquisition License
You need to take the CFSC to apply for a PAL.

can you challenge the pal anymore or did they make the course mandatory?
>>35012895
>Why
Because noone in NATO considers the US to be as dependable an ally anymore, at least with Trump in charge. tho?

>The Attorneys General of Manitoba and Quebec designated some provincial hunter-safety courses as equivalent to the CFSC. Individuals who passed one of those courses (before April 1, 1994 in Manitoba and before January 1, 1995 in Quebec) do not need to pass the CFSC.
>A CFO may offer "alternative certification" to an individual if the CFO is satisfied that the individual's knowledge of firearms laws and safe-handling practices meets the national standards set for licensing.
Not sure what you mean by challenge, or if this even answers your question.
>>35018164
It's ok anon. You could have googled the terms though and found out for yourself.
>>35018129
you used to be able to just take the actual PAL exam/test for like $50 without taking the course as long as you were over 18, i dunno if you still can. they called it challenging the test.

If you make a new thread before the old one is up, please link it in the old thread.

Oh. Not too sure to be honest. Might depend on the CFO. I wish, if is still a thing, I had that option. Would have saved me ~$100 on my PAL/RPAL course.
>>35018351
That is no longer a thing. You have to take the actual class.
Fun fact: If you're in Quebec and you only challenged the test, they would not issue you a hunting certificate.
>>35018452
They stopped allowing that 3 years ago, you can still challenge it if you have previously held a PAL and let it expire.
