A mosin is fun as fuck if you get some shit thats worth shooting and not target practice. Get some old cinder blocks or slabs and blow that shit up. No point in having that strong of a catridge when you just shoot paper targets.

I started with a mosin and it taught me a lot about gun ownership. I would recommend a cheap milsurp to people getting into guns. If OP is late and getting into guns when he's old enough to buy handguns willy nilly then he should take my advice but if he's under 21 and doesnt have people who can buy handguns gor him then id say get the M&P but you wont be able to get any ammo if you do.
