I live in CA and I've open carried once or twice while visiting NV because I could and secondarily it's too much effort to get an NV CCW if I'm only there once a year at most.

I can't get a CCW in my county. Absolutely no issue for any reason. OC has been illegal for years although I still do it innawoods, which is legal.

As for which is better, depends on the application. OC is fundamentally easier and allows you to carry bigger firearms. It's great for innawoods adventures. In town however, It's kinda spergy. Again, I did it a few times principally because it's novel to me, but if I didn't live in CA I'd get a permit and carry concealed instead.

It doesn't occupy my mind all that much since I live and work in very safe areas where violent crime is rare and I feel that I have pretty good situational awareness and tactical sense which is more important than any gun could be. I'd like to carry a gun legally, but in a practical sense I'm not currently losing much by not doing it.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. But the ability to do so sometimes makes it necessary for action in rare circumstances. I despise open carry but I do it sometimes in rural areas for the sake of saying I can, and if I'm headed back home from the ranch I don't take the time to take my holster off anymore unless a 30.06 or 30.07 sign is plastered at the front door. That doesn't mean I'll march my happy ass to the front of a protest with a drop thigh rig or eat somewhere with a gun on my hip, but it's nice to be able to do it.

It depends on where I'm going. If it's summer I generally carry concealed IWB, but when it gets colder and I can legitimize wearing a coat or jacket, then I'll open carry.

Open all the way. I sometimes conceal. Like I get the point. But 9 times out of 10 I open carry. I do not fucking care what people say or think. I am carrying for my sake not theirs. I am not going to put my side arm in a horribly inconvenient location just because I'm a pussy and afraid of people opinions of me. There are numerous legitimate reasons to conceal carry. None of the faggots in this thread have given one.
