I'm looking at getting some thinner plates because reasons. AR500 Armor claims to offer multi curve plates, but all the pictures of their curved plates I can find are only single curve. Does anyone here know if they actually offer multi curve plates?

Example plate offered with a supposed multi curve option:

Add EDC of a Glock 29, as well as a glock 19 readied in a gunbelt near the bag.

That's just the bag. I also have shelter-in-place items, but they are almost all in toughboxes to allow them to be quickly loaded into my truck. Therefore, if it is something like a storm and I have even 30 minutes of prep time, I can easily and quickly pile the majority of my shelter-in-place gear into a truck and get mobile. The bag itself is if I somehow just can't use the truck and have to go on foot.

Ceramics and Poly armor. Both lighter then steel, Ceramics can stop more bullets then steel while being markedly lighter. Neither have problems with spalling. Neither will be defeated by m193 going fast enough
>>
Anyone here use a MAR-CIRAS?

>>
>>35020347
>Ceramics and Poly armor.
Neither are available under .5" thick for under a few hundred per plate.

>Neither have problems with spalling
Spalling isn't a problem for steel either. If you mean bullet fragments, those will penetrate about as far into ballistics gelatin as airsoft BBs, meaning they aren't a real problem.

>Neither will be defeated by m193 going fast enough
No, but UHMWPE plates do have similar problems with M855 and no doubt M855A1 as well.
>>
Any mini chest rig recommendations? I'd carry three AR mags, a radio and possibly a cargo for loose shit. Preferably molle since I already have most pouches.
>>
>>35022197
>Never mentioned anything about width.

>Spalling is 100% a problem going into your neck by your jugular.

>UHMWPE plates can be built to stop M855

They are better because they are so much lighter and won't send metal shrapnel into your jugular while still providing ample protection. If steel was even marginally better, why wouldn't the Military use it and save millions in armor costs?

So I was the anon who was asking about a week ago about a split front chest rig.

Thanks to /GQ/ faggots for steering me away from the Condor meme, I went to a surplus store and found an LBE 9019B in good condition for less money. It's exactly what I was looking for, save for the fact that the condor did have a neat integrated hydration carrier thing (no huge loss)

Gotta get mag pouches for it and whatnot now.

Question though...

What is the "right" way to use these little velcro bits on the adjustment straps? You roll 'em up and then use it to attach the roll onto the other end of the strap, right? I know this is probably dumb AF but I want to make sure I'm not just having another brain damage moment.

The multi curve level IV ceramics from Armour Wear that are advertised as 10x12" are much closer to 9.5x11.25"
Still a good deal. I'm happy with mine that were $279 shipped a while back other than the fact that they're undersized.

>>35025272
What size is your carrier? The Armour Wear 10x12" (really 9.5x11.2") fit in my small/medium SAPI sized Velocity Systems LWPC.
>>
>>35025516
They're used to secure the straps. Once you fit your gear to the proper size you roll up the straps and use the velcro to hold them in place. Keeps the straps from flapping around when you run. I hope that answers your question.

What is your fucking budget....
Also guys I'm seriously trying to rethink my pouch setup. Trying to clear off the front of the belt a little. What about the following:

Battle belt would have a 2x2 rifle/pistol mag KYWI shorty instead of the current 2x2 rifle/pistol bungee pouch and single rifle KYWI shorty

HSGI Blowout Bleeder IFAK on front right of battle belt would be replaced with a tear away IFAK to go on the back of the battle belt.

Chest rig/front of carrier might be a 3 rifle mag shingle, single smoke pouch, and a small GP to fit a small water bottle or a very minimal IFAK?

Right side of carrier would be smoke and or move the UV5R there as well. Left side of carrier would be a single KYWI rifle pouch.

Full kit would be 2x pistol mags, 6 rifle mags, 2.5L of water, 2 smokes, radio, IFAK plus additional medical.

Battle belt alone would be 2x pistol and 2x rifle, 2L water, IFAK.

Chest rig alone would be 3x rifle, 1x smoke, and 16oz water.

Carrier alone would be single rifle mag, 1x smoke, and maybe the UV5R if it is removed from the belt?

Thoughts?

That's garbage. If you're on a tight budget, don't get a carrier. Get a good chest rig and buy good quality pouches over time. If you absolutely must get a carrier, get a Beez Combat Systems. They're not fancy, but they actually work.

That said, I'm not sure what is weird about the helmet cover, flag, and LBE. Everything she is wearing is USGI except for the large GP pouch on the front and I'm pretty sure that pouch is sold at every PX ever.

As for the empty ruck, I've seen dumber stuff on an obstacle course by commands committed to the crawl-walk-run policy.

USMC surplus battle belt is about as cheaply priced as they come for a MOLLE belt that isn't shit. It's got loops for a suspender setup, which it sounds like you're going to need with all those mags.

Complete with a fresh helmet inside.

Bag has some light padding on all sides and a piece of plastic(?) to add a rigid bottom to it. Includes shoulder strap and internal helmet retention. You only get 1 pocket on the side though, it lacks the mesh zipper on one side of it. However it has a slim zipper in the cover that could be used to store documents or something.

I can't find much information about this Warrior Systems stuff. Is it worth the money or do I really need to cough up the extra 50-100 shekels for something else?

>Say again turkey, you want my what?
>>
>>35035723
Its not bad stuff, WGWS's old carrier was warrior assault systems. I would seriously consider some upgraded shoulder pads since you will be hanging 15+ lbs off the rather thin looking straps
>>35030884
Might as well take dope and beer instead
>>
Are there any decent labor day sales?
>>
>>35035723
Sick discount codes. I've had that thing bookmarked forever and just bought one. Thanks

For some reason I want to stick a giant full-color US flag on the front

>>35035415
What red dot is that again? Trijicon? Do you like it?

>>35035723
Warrior assault systems should be good to go as far as quality goes. But keep in mind that is a very slick minimal carrier, with what appears to be very limited capability to add gear to it. It isn't even swift clip compatible so you can't add a chest rig to it.
My LWPC that I emailed you about earlier today is just $35 more, and has a lot more capability. Very light weight and still relatively slick.

>>35035812
I had an AWS OCPC reeee.

>>35035944
Armour Wear is having a very decent sale on multi curve level IV 10x12 (9.5x11.2" actual) ceramics.

>>35036055
>Lighter
>7lbs per plate
>Sketchy Chinese plates get down to 5lbs
Hmm I wonder how they do that. 7lbs per plate for Multi curve 10x12"s isn't bad, and for the price is perfectly acceptable. I would weigh mine if I had a scale. Also the Armour Wear 10x12" cut is pretty generous with upper body shoulder area coverage.

>>35036153
That doesn't look bad. If you want minimalist/high speed low drag consider these off of LAPG with their 12% discount:

http://www.lapolicegear.com/sbt-stlthpc-stealth-low-vis-plate-carrier.html

http://www.lapolicegear.com/tact-mbav-carrier-low-vis-mbav-plate-carrier.html

This is a bit heavier duty, but not as heavy duty as the patriot. It is also swift clip ready for a front chest rig. This is what I bought a while back. I'm happy except the shoulder pads are kinda thin (thicker than any slick carrier), no rear molle (might not be a concern of yours), and no rear drag handle.

http://store.atarmor.com/product_p/lwpc.htm

$135 shipped.

The window is the largest that they make, second only to maybe the EOtech.
Dot is crisp, but 4.5 MOA. After shooting at the meetup, I barely noticed. Most dots have some haze that makes them 4 moa anyways.
Only minor drawback is that it can washout a bit when shooting from a dark area into a really bright one.
Got mine for 400ish on sale, for that price I recommend it.
Comes in Green/Amber dot or an Amber Triangle.

Speaking of 5.11, where do their pouches rate on the continuum of goodness?

They're about the same price point as Condor but not made in China (?? Indonesia instead I think ??) so are they basically the same, slightly better, or what?

I know the pastebin says Condor pouches are "alright" but I'd prefer something made in the US if at all possible, or at least not China. Surplus stores are hit and miss on what you can actually scare up out of the cardboard boxes.

Negligible. Spoon weighs very little compared to M18.

If those can launchers can launch full Soda cans they should have enough oomph to launch M18s. The M18s are a little bit bigger in diameter though.

What goods a plate carrier when you have no guns to fight with? Cart before the horse there buddy

>>35039955
>What goods a plate carrier when you have no guns to fight with?

He's in Europe. He'll get a plate carrier much more easily than guns. Plus, you can't carry in Europe, so ballistic protection makes much more sense for a civilian there, even without guns.
>>
>>35039546
Yeah you're right. Lvl 4 is better, stands alone. ESAPI has to be used with a backer.

But lvl 4 stand alone
>>
>>35039974
>Buys 14lbs of ceramic lvl 4 armor

He can do whatever he pleases, I'd be more interested in finding a way to get gun rights back. If I don't have a gun in a gunfight, I want to run away as fast as possibly, not be a slow moving bullet sponge.
>>
>>35039994
IM ASKING ABOUT THE LEGITIMACY OF THE WEBSITE AND THE AD.

I'm not looking to have a conversation about esapi+iiia vs level IV.

If anyone can tell me if the website is legitimate or not, I would greatly appreciate it.
